Look at the first half hour from Tuesday night, we can clearly play good football at this level and have players of ability. The issue is the focus and tactics to make this much more consistent. Can we make that happen is the question rather than our quality.

What question did you ask to get that response if you don’t mind me asking?

What’s mad is tickets to most of our away games are like gold dust.

How can we play so well in the first half hour then finish the rest of the game like that? Leadership and game management both on and off the pitch. Both tactical and psychological. I can’t see Still surviving, probably should be put out of his misery, but Sports Republic need to call it a day too. Generally well intentioned, but it just hasn’t worked for them with us and there must be other decent owners out there who’d fancy their chances with Saints.

It’s obviously not good enough for all the many reasons listed on here, but we have been very unlucky tonight.

Amazing numbers, great support. Bristol City is sort of considered a nearish game, but it’s an effort to get to midweek.

Just makes me wonder, someone like Solak who’s done what he’s done, from that part of the world, you’d think he’d be the last person to fall for all this BS.

Looks a good enough team to me. Not too fussed either way on formations. Really have to see a significant improvement today.

I want him to come good and not given up 100% but he gives us very little to get our hopes up. What are the positives we’ve seen from Still’s management so far? I can’t think of anything.

Who was the co-commentator? Poor understanding of the laws of the game and didn’t like any of the decisions that went our way 🤣

Great to get the win. Pleased for Stewart and Still. Think our performance was still a fair way off where it needs to be but a step in the right direction.

Of course it was a penalty. Keeper clumsily slid into Stewart.

Lazy might be the wrong word, but half-hearted is another way of putting it. It’s not a question of blindly chasing down every ball or pressing on his own, but it is the perceived lack of effort put into winning the ball in the air against a CB for example. Football fans are more forgiving of a lack of talent if they feel 100% effort is being put in by the player. Downs is ticking neither of those boxes currently.

This season has been a lot more than individual mistakes letting us down when playing well though? We’ve had consistently poor performances that has been the theme so far this season

How does Ross Stewart not even get ahead of Downs!!

I thought he’s been good, would start him Saturday with Armstrong, McCarthy and the CBs.

Yeah, a different type of game to all the others we've had so far this season. Less pressure and expectation for a win. Can we get the basics right. Be organised. Difficult to break down. That said, these games often don't tell us anything more about a season. Complete outlier in terms of performance, players used and attitude.

There’s an argument than rather obsessing about wingers our summer recruitment should have been focused on our core - keeper, replace the CBs and a quality striker.

I appreciate you’re obviously one of the thickest people on here but you’ve not even been able to explain why it was such a positive for us. I can see you spend your life on here looking for arguments, so I’ll leave you to it.

It might be brilliant at times, but didn’t help us at all against the skates. Just slowed the game down, gave them a chance to breathe and us a free kick on the half way line. Hope to see him focused a bit more on playing football and making an impact around the opposition box.

I thought he looked more interested in drawing a foul than getting on with playing the game. We needed to keep pressure on them not give them constant breaks to regroup and have a breather. Does look like a character. Reckon he could easily go one way or another- become a cult-hero or frustratingly fade out and last one season.

What does a successful season look like for us? What’s acceptable? Promotion in any form (play offs etc) I guess.

Cheers. We do now have a waiting list for season tickets, albeit pretty small one I'd guess. I wonder how many years of consistent PL football we would need? If that is a requirement before any kind of work starts in earnest then we're still many years off anything happening.

The club have previously issued vague comms around looking at an expansion, is anyone ITK about this actually happening? Do we have access to the funds and if so, what are the blockers? I'd say 40k would be good for us, might not fill it every week, but we would regularly get mid to late 30s.
