  1. Brilliant corner from Bree for the goal, best corner this season.
  2. Agreed, can’t stand the man. Hate the way he interacts with other team’s players, Redmond for us a few years ago case in point.
  3. Never heard of him, but that sounds an utterly shit idea.
  4. Getting themselves ready for next season by the looks of things.
  5. I’m sure there are far more adverts than ever before, just a constant run of them through the build up and half time.
  6. Good win and performance, helped by the fact Stoke were pretty poor. Decent opposition would have still caused us a lot more problems. Play offs still alive? Think we’ve still got a bit too much to do and will keep blowing hot and cold.
  7. Good line up for me, that’s a good side. No complaints on selection, let’s see if they deliver.
  8. I am glad we didn't fold and we definitely matched them in the physical battle throughout the game, but I do think we let the occasion and atmosphere get to us. Needed more calm heads to let our quality show, put our foot on the ball and get our passing going, slow the game down at the right time, not charge around or fly into tackles that weren't needed. Anyway, a good learning curve for a lot of the players and hopefully brings the squad together a bit. Think we'll get to do it all again next season, so hopefully a few lessons learnt our side.
  9. I'm amazed they get away with it. No stewarding or police checks, free to do whatever they want. Our support trying anything like that at St Marys would be slung out. Similar approach to the two pitch invaders that came on. Once the stewards woke up, ours was clattered to the ground, theirs had an arm to their shoulder and guided off. I know its a cliche and we're obviously all biased, but they really are a weird bunch down there, a properly odd bunch of people with a chip on their shoulder they will never, ever shake.
  10. I noticed this at the time as well, just when we should be killing the game, quietening everything down Downes decided to the complete opposite and gave them momentum. Didn't need it at all. We battled well, but to show we really played well under pressure we should have not let the occasion get to us and shown calm heads when needed. We just constantly dropped down to their level.
  11. Police absolutely love this fixture. Great money earner for very little effort.
  12. This game is the biggest of the season in isolation, we've got to win in its own right. But I can also see it as a catalyst for the rest of the season. Win and I can see us taking the momentum on to a push for the play offs. Lose and the downward spiral continues, relationship between club/players and fans more strained.
  13. Come on you Saints, smash these cunts!
  14. It’s a poor league this year and we should have been able to make the play offs comfortably.
  15. I reckon he’ll get out as soon as he can with a deal that works. You’d think he’d try and sell if we got promoted again.
  16. I actually think strangely that they really care about perception and how much they are liked. The criticism of SR is simply they’re not very good at making important decisions, keep trying to be clever and don’t learn from their mistakes. That’s it.
  17. Downes and Romeu to clumsily barge into skates players in the first 15 minutes and carry a yellow the rest of the game whilst doing nothing but pass backwards and sideways. I’ve seen nothing to suggest that Jander and Bragg have left mental strength and that’s the only thing that really matters here.
  18. What have the fsa said?
  19. It’s a nice shirt, people would like to buy it, many think £120 is prohibitively expensive. That’s a perfectly reasonable viewpoint for them to have.
  20. And not having the most basic emotional intelligence to realise it shouldn’t be plastered over social media.
  21. House’s posts say Armstrong is on the list of those he’d keep from what I can see. Personal opinion, but I think Armstrong always comes across quite well. The others on the list don’t surprise me. Downes, THB, Stephens, Manning all to go.
  22. Why on earth do you think we’d only attract an owner that is found at much smaller, poorer clubs than ours? Such a properly scared small-time mindset, don’t rock the boat, we just *might* get another bad owner and we have no chance of attracting a good one, so let’s put up with these for evermore. Utterly batshit insane.
  23. Is someone like Chansiri our only alternative if we get rid of SR? By your argument, we stick with SR for evermore, regardless of how badly they do.
  24. Liebherr was great for us, but I think it unlikely we’d have just languished in the lower leagues for years without him, we’re a good sized club with associated infrastructure, we’d likely be bought up by someone decent. The club needs a complete reset and fresh start and that means getting rid of SR I’m afraid.
