One of Mr Dean's very worst decisions was away at Watford in April 2019 (the Shane Long game). Right at the very end Redmond was heading through on goal when he was tripped by a Watford player who had already been booked. Dean had his whistle in his mouth to blow for the foul. Realised he would have to show a red card and then waved play on.

If Larin continues his current form we will face serious interest from PL clubs come January.
-
That must be the clear winner. Just slightly before my time. I didn't start going until 1969.
-
I am wondering if this is our biggest ever win after going behind? And ideas?
-
If we have to give Derby £2.5m to take him its worth it
-
He probably has one eye on the move at least
-
If they include Mings I would want another £5 million. One of the main factors in Villa's improvement in recent seasons is that he wasn't available

With a two match ban for a West Brom forward for handling the ball into the net it looks like the era for over the top punishments is well established. It is not even clear that it was intentional. Will Norwich get a ban for their goal against us last season?

Southampton the Complete History of the Club published in 1979 signed by the author Peter East. And a signed copy of Lawrie McMenemy's diary of a season also published in 1979. And in the attic my wooden seat from row Q of the West Stand plus lot of copies of the newspaper that Saints used to publish just before the start of each season.

A team that is likely to be at the top of League One - like Leicester would be a more realistic test
-
I can't believe the preseason is over and we haven't played a team remotely like the opposition we are going to face in the EFL
-
They are very well done. Would like to see the home with nay blue shorts and socks

There used to be a programme shop close to St Mary's but I think it is shut now. You could try these sites Football Programmes, Buy Sell, Old Football Programmes Southampton Programmes For Sale - Official Southampton Football Programes I don't know if they actually work or not. Having a vast collection of Saints programmes myself - every home one since 1966 - I have reached the sad conclusion that unlike most memorabilia, my collection is worth only a fraction of what it cost to put together. Check in case you have something special or rare, but generally, and despite what people price them at on ebay, modern programmes are close to worthless. You could also try In off the far post which is quite close to Dean Court In Off The Far Post | eBay UK Stores

How much would he be worth in today's market?
-
In "Saints a complete record" for the 1950-51 season it refers to an FA Cup game at Roker Park "Saints wore amber jerseys and black shorts for the first time. They borrowed the kit from the Hampshire Regiment." But in the programme for the 1963 FA Cup semi-final it refers to Southampton wearing old gold shirts. So I guess amber and old gold were regarded as interchangeable terms.

Worse it was £1.25 million. But even worse was the crocked Andy Gray to Wolves for £1.49 million at the same time. He apparently failed medical after medical, but Wolves were so desperate to sign him they kept going to doctors until they found one sufficiently "pliant"
-
To be very pedantic. It was old gold and black rather than amber. You can see an example here 1970-1972 I guess one reason for not reviving it is that the shorts would be the same colour as the home kit. So it would work perfectly if we went back to blue shorts.

I would be astonished to see him at Spurs. But if he can get that dream transfer then fair play to him.
-
It's delayed until 1,30 now. Also staggered that the seats are unallocated. That is a recipe for chaos in a sold out game

I loved the LND. But talk about physical presence is nonsense, that is the one thing he didn't really bring despite his height. While Larin has masses of physical presence
-
Second season it had white socks and was not nearly so good
-
White socks were a Lawrie M fetish. We never wore them until 1974. And some of our best times - 94/95 and 89/90 came with the team in black socks
-
Sheffield United are facing a winding up order. It might be worth making an offer for Bamford. While he has a reputation as a crock he played 29 times and scored 13 goals last season after joining them in November.
-
All bids have to be framed within the insane concept that the ordinary Anderson is worth £119 million
-
I think the best way to think about it is that but for Spygate, his equaliser against Boro would have paid his transfer off on its own.
