  1. I would like to see some changes made during the game, if like Saturday we're chasing it. To stick to this 4-2-1-2-1 formation no matter what is a bit blinkered in my opinion.........
  2. Perhaps they should have taken the SISU offer, could that have made things any worse?
  3. Would SISU have paid our debts off?
  4. Had George Burley sent a team out against a good Birmingham side with no strikers on the bench and persisted in 1 up front, when we're one down with 10 mins to play, the stick he would be getting on here would be relentless. Pretty football first half, but second we had no plan B and it was men against boys. Last 10 Mins, we needed to give it a go, but seemed to just drift towards a defeat, it may not have worked, but we needed something changing. Macleish changed the game, JP showed GB like traits in being unable to change or modify his plan A, and that is worrying.
  5. I thought the fans got behind the team pretty well, from where I was sat. I believe it is right to get behind the youngsters 100%, however where do we stand regarding the Manager. I thought not to have a striker on the bench and it appeared no plan B, was an error, in my opinion. Had NP or GB done this, they would be getting all sorts of stick on here. If he keeps making errors like this, surely we are allowed to voice our frustrations, or should we get behind him regardless?
  6. I thought JP made basic errors yesterday, to have no striker on the bench was strange, and there seemed to be no plan B once we were chasing the game. Had NP or GB done the same thing, there would have been no end of stick for them on here. I hope he's a quick learner because I was worried by his tactics yesterday, following a good first half. The game panned out, if we're honest, as most thought it would. Lots of pretty football early on, but men against boys at the end.To have any chance of staying up, the coach needs to be on top of his game, every game, with this young side, and in my opinion he wasn't. Not saying we would have won or got a point, but we just seemed to drift towards a defeat without giving it a right go.
  7. What about boardroom salaries, are the directors earing "PL-money" or even CCC money? I wonder how they compare to other clubs in our situation..........
  8. What a pillock, surely we had 30,000 last home game.Did this 30,000 include Lowe's 10,000?
  9. I dont hate Lowe as a person, however I hate the people he attracts to this Club. Like that idiot Scooby. I hate the way he divides the fanbase of a Club, that used to pride itself on being a "family" and united together.....
  10. One game is hardly enough time to make a judgement one way or the other as to whether JP or the team can compete. Why is there such extreme views on here, had we won yesterday we'd have had people hailing Lowe for his foresight in bringing JP in. I suggest Xmas should be the earliest anyone should be making any sort of judgement good or bad.
  11. Some people need to get a grip. This was a tough fixture at any time and dont forget their last game was the Cup Final, so they would have been up for it. Birmingham is going to be tough as well, so it's important we beat Exeter in the week. We'll not know what the seasons going to bring or whether Rupert's gamble has paid of for at least a dozen games.
  12. Course not, however I would rather they came out and said "we realise we got it wrong". Insted of that you get them trying to pretend it had nothing to do with them. It's like asking the guy who burgled my house to come back and clean up afterwards.......
  13. Looks like they're clearing up their own mess. We've let players go who were on high wages and were journeymen pros and yet, Powell was signed under Lowe.Jesus, Viafara,Rudi,Jermaine Wright, Licka were signed under Wilde.
  14. How can you say it's working when we're yet to play a competitive match? I presume by journeymen pros you exclude Wotton and Perry? The biggest single waste of wages in the past few years was Powell, who was Chairman when he signed? Not forgetting Hjato, and a number of other Redknapp signings. In fact if you look at the Journeymen we've signed, who did not earn their money, most of them were signed under Wilde's reign.
  15. People are entittled to their opinion, just as you and Scooby are. However what makes you think it's all down to Lowe's class? I bet there is just a tiny handful of people against Lowe becasue of his upbringing, just as there are a handful who are against anyone else solely because they're not Lowe. It seems to me that some of you can not bring yourself to think anyone could be Anti Lowe, because of the job he did, and therefore automatically think it's some sort of class prejudice. I would not insult you by saying you didn't like the job Crouch, did soley on the basis he wasn't Lowe. Why therefore should it be assumed people dont like Lowe because of his class?
  16. That's rubbish, stop playing the class card. People dont like him because in their eyes he's mismanaged the club (that's an opinion they're entittled to, like you are), it has nothing to do with his background. Was it just the Northam who stood at the Ipswich game?
  17. I would like to know how much time JP is to be given if the season starts poorly........
  18. "Football has been plagued, for far too long, by the minority who take pleasure in playing the blame game and deriding other people's efforts." "There is no place for this attitude at Southampton FC." How does this sit with the PLC Chairman's quote in yesterdays Sunday Telegraph, running down some of the players and the people in charge "the 2 years that I was away".
  19. I'm getting old, 11 posts and I dont know any of the bands or songs mentioned. I'm listening to Rock of Ages by The Band...........
