Youngsters need nurturing, they need dipping into first team football and taken out. They need experianced pro's along side them. If they're thrown in on mass and keep getting beat it's going to have an effect on their careers. Did Steve Williams not become a proper player by playing alongside Alan Ball, or Matt with Jimmy Case. We need older heads in there and we need them now, otherwise we're going to ruin this crop of youngsters. I understand we cant have players like Bally and JC, but we have Stern John and Perry. We can also use the loan window to get some in..........

I remember when we were relegated, certain people were saying how we would enjoy the CCC as we would win more games and had a chance of winning it. I'm sorry, but in my opinion results are everything. If we kick off next season against Hereford or Hartlepool at SMS in front of 11,000, I wont be thinking about the great football we played this season.........

I've been to 3 and I haven't seen Lowe playing in any of them, therefore can't quite see the relevance of your question. Perhaps you could answer one of mine. Under Lowe's "revolutionary structure" have we lost 3 out of 4 league games?
-
We've lost 3 out of 4 league games, and by Sunday we could be bottom of the league. We've sold by far and away our best signing in recent years, for hardly any profit. Nobody knows the true picture of the finances, including what Lowe and Cowan are being paid. Our attendances are falling to embaressing levels, and yet people are "pretty impressed" with Lowe so far?
-
Let us all remind ourselves that if it had not been for relegation, we may have kept him a bit longer.
-
I have an open mind, and I thought the Manager and his coaches were poor against Blackpool.
-
He had the chance to answer the question regarding the £7mil and his ousting of Lowe and he sounded like Tony Blair at the Hutton enquiry. Why cant he just give a stright answer?
-
Jan, how long has he got? (not looking for an arguement)
St Paul replied to Thorpe-le-Saint's topic in The Saints
He's Lowe's man and it's Lowe structure and vision that's being followed this season. I think this gives him a bit more time than had Lowe kept Pearson. If he's sacked surely that will reflect on Lowe and his gamble will have failed. -
Now that these players are still here, whether we like it or not, they need to be part of the first team group, and not frozen out. We could need these guys in the event of injuries or loss of form.

Come on, Derby haven't won a league game in over a year and we need to be beating teams like Blackpool at home. Cardiff and Birmingham are tough, but Derby and Blackpool are well beatable. What concerns me is Blackpool set down the blueprint to beat us and I'm sure other managers will do the same. If we dont start defending long balls properly it wont matter how well we play going forward, we'll go down. Scunny played some good stuff last year and Southend the year before, but..........
-
I dont know about Jan's plan B, but I do know that every Manager in the league will look at Blackpool's performance, whether through their scouting network or watching the DVD and take things from it. Unless we start to defend long balls better, I've never seen a forward line win so many high balls as yesterday, we're going to get punished week in week out. I just hope we're not "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" regarding this youth policy, because if there's older players at the Club Monday, they need to be considered. You can not tell me Euall would have given the ball away as much as Gillet..

But after we were relegated it was obvious he wasn't interested, everyone could see it, except Lowe. WHY WASN'T HE FIRED!!!!!!!!!
-
I thought Wilde spent the money, or does he's spending not count now? Why's that I wonder?

And look what they're saying now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A40038275

You seem a bit of a hypocrite , I remember an article on 606 you penned entittled "I want to see us lose to WBA"
-
Why people cant praise the new guys without running down Pearson is beyond me.They Managed the Club in totally different situations. You dont have to be for one and against the other. People are judging Jan a sucess after 3 games, what about Pearson at Leicester, unbeaten and second in the league. I suggest people wait until the end of the season before making such sweeping statements and running a decent man, in Pearson down.

Who do I "really not like to succeed"? what a stupid statement to make. All I want is credit where it's due, Woodward can not and proberly will not, take any credit for the improved performances in Cycling, Swimming and Rowing as these bodies have been working towards these goals for years. He was diectly responsable for the Lions fiasco, or can I not mention that, as it was a failure?
-
The results that have been acheived by Cycling, Rowing and swimming are as a result of millions of pounds of lottery money pouring into their coffers. The cycling set up is light yeras ahead of any other nation, due to this funding. John Major, who set up the lottery and had as one of it's aims, excellence in minority sorts deserves more credit than Woodward. These things take a decade to turn into results, not the couple of years Woodward's been there. You have to look to 2012 to see whether Woodward makes any difference. I still remember the **** up he made of the last Lions tour, Alister Campbell and all.......
-
It appears to me that some people want to give Lowe credit for JP, and yet when it comes to Redknapp and Burley it is the Mangers themselves who get the stick. You cant have it both ways, if he gets credit for JP, he must take the blame for the Redknapp and Burley( and Wiggley)........

Kelvin Davis to be sold with Rasiak, Saga and Skacel
St Paul replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Whatever people think of Kelvin, he is a better keeper at the moment than BB.Bart has been poor since his inital run in the team and his injury. Derby in the home play off he looked like a startled rabbit, and everytime I've seen him since he seems to get worse. Whether a first team run will be the making of him, no one knows, but he's not up to it as things stand at the moment. -
It's against the Premier league rules to play against your "home" club. In the CCC it is about what's written in the terms. If you remember Lucketti could have played last game of the season, but decided not to. To let Rasiak play against us would be madness, in my opinion.I dont think for one minute the deal would have fallen through if we insisted on it, as it's a pretty standard clause nowadays. The only reason Sheff utd didn't put it in for Lucketti was because they were miles from the play offs and never thought they'd get near them.......
-
Whether it was the formation or not, we still just let the game slip tamely by on Saturday. There was no big push in the final 10 mins. Had GB not put a forward on the bench, he would have been getting loads of abuse on here, and rightly so. Just because we're a team of youngsters should not make the Manager immune from stick.

Who would be your next offload to reduce the wage bill if required?
St Paul replied to TopGun's topic in The Saints
Where does Rupert giving Dyer a new contract sit with your holier than thou statement?
