That game for him showed that its in there somewhere just needs to be confident and be brave,yes he gets alot of stick because of this ,and were all passionate Saints fans so yes of course we want this to be the way forward.

Did anyone notice the pace on the ball when Redmond passed the ball back to Bertie on the right back position i think it was against M.city or just against Brighton but i don't think they get on with each other, and then the glare afterwards . A bit tetchy me thinks. Im sure someone saw the same as me or i might have been seeing that little incident and got the wrong idea. 2nd half of either one of the games mentioned. For some time now those 2 have never really played together with trust in each others ability to commit attacking moves unlike the right side with KWP and Armstrong and Ralph should get them together and bang their heads together and tell them it stops now or subs bench ,just cross the balls and see what panic we may cause.

Where was the urgency after conceding after 56 minutes? we fucking show no ability to be able to get anything goal worthy in attempts to try and unsettle teams. Relegation very much starts to loom in sight after this dreadful inept display . No desire to take chances just fanny around passing to defenders across the back with no movement in front running .All our second half displays have been dreadful this season and that seemed to start with being 4-0 up away to villa ,we only just got that.!!!!!. Who else was screaming at the telly when from our throw in in their half near the corner flag ,who would have thought it would find its way back to Forster(who by the way) was shocking for the first goal . We constantly keep killing our own self belief by making so many unforced errors we cant adapt to the situation and become scarred to move the ball quickly enough to make chances. We are letting the likes of Fulham get closer to us and YES OUR GOAL DIFFERENCE is now becoming a big problem. Totally agree with the Bertrand assessment of his game from you , hes not seemed to be enjoying his roll for about past 2-3 seasons now .Every now and then like the rest he will turn up and look interested in the game and what hes there to do. There seems to be no real challenge for him in that position, so there's an arrogance that's crept in . As ive said before is there no one in the whole club- team -squad set up that can actually be right back back up?....just play players in their trained squad positions simple eh? . The whole VAR this season is becoming a season too long .Were any of Brighton's penalties ,penalties?...........and we cant ones that hit an arm that prevents a goal bound effort and if i recall not even awarded a corner. VAR is still some other officials view and not necessarily that of the on field ref that has to view the game in real time. I agree with the whole goal line technology its over or not and it makes a noise that alerts the ref but, other contentious calls are view from all angles, how were the challenges on Djenepo not carded?.......remember his tackle on Newcastle player? at the time i was watching from the stadium and there seemed nothing in it , and the official that day Graham Scott actually went to the pitch side monitor to change his thoughts and send him off. At the time everyone was incensed and moments latter Boufal was penalized for hand ball penalty at the time ref played on only to be told hang on you missed a clear and obvious error. Var is still someone else's view and that's where it gets it wrong, if the ref didn't see it in real time don't ask for him to view it again in slow motion. Point of all this is Scott, Dean and Mason need to be put on furlough and the whole Var thing needs to be looked at and explained to the teams as to what is or isn't hand ball for starters and ,well don't get me started on the coming back from an offside position like Bamford did against us and Walcott flagged for offside against Villa at home when he received the ball in front of the Villas defence.

Nothing wrong with Puel, just got dealt a shitty hand with players he had at his disposal .Again like Ralph didn't or hasn't got the right players or backing financially to improve what we have at present or in the past .But Puel was a thinker and Ralph only seems to know one way and it sure aint the winning way ATM. VAR.....its still someone else's opinion,not necessarily the official whos call it was in the first place ..............that's what make these decisions even worse. The penalty that he gave at old trafford that was overturned by var shouldn't ,the sending off bednarek shouldn't yet var didn't seem to rule that out as-well , plus i think to this day that he was given the nod that Arsenal had a similar out come so please follow suit.
