What post number are your updates? I've looked through the whole thread three times and can't see it (my observational skills are clearly being impacted by my low calorie intake!) Just updated my weekly figure (post#108 ) and I'm 6lb down this week which I attribute to last weeks figure probably being a couple of lb out as I'd eaten and had a few beers on the Friday night before last weeks weigh-in). I've trained pretty hard this week running each day and been extremely focused on what I've been eating. As a few of you said earlier in the week my calorie intake was far too low and although it wasn't noticeably impacting my ability to train, I did notice during the daytime towards the end of the week I was struggling to think straight and concentrate at times which I think may have been related.

On Thursday whilst at the station in Bournemouth I managed to fall UP the stairs! I got up and looked around expecting to see lots of people trying not to laugh and there was absolutely nobody about, I couldn’t believe it, a few seconds later people appeared from different places, but fortunately I managed to look a total div in front of no-one but myself! What embarrassing moments have you had in public, or seen other people have?

I'd suggest the first question should be in two parts; 1a) Was it the right decision to dispense with Adkins? 1b) Was it right to be done at this point in time?

Maybe Cortese has just been looking for a new manager for a while, but wanting to find the person who he felt was right for the job and his vision (rather than being rushed into getting someone that wasn't right). It took him X amount of weeks/months, but finally he got who he wanted?

We have to assume that a certain percentage of forum members will have been on their periods over the past couple of days and as such we are bound to see some posts of this irrational nature. The rest of us need to just stay strong for them, get them a hot water bottle to rest on their tummies and try not to upset them any further!

Are you serious? When pards was given the boot everyone was complaining that someone else wasn't already lined up. This time Cortese has got somebody lined up in advance people are saying it's underhand, the chairman can't win can he. From a business continuity perspective, if any chairmen, managers, team leaders are thinking of taking someone out of a role, they should also be thinking about who they are going to bring in as a replacement to keep the business moving. It's no different than Adkins thinking about taking someone out of the first team and bringing someone else in, Cortese has just done it on a bigger scale (and we're led to believe by the media it hasn't been handled very well).

I reckon we'll have a few Adkins songs at the beginning and then just get behind supporting the team. The only issue i'd forsee is if/when we go a goal down, then that'll be a test!
