  1. But (as The9 is fully aware as he's been told this as fact), Network Rail decide when it's Boxing Day, if there are trains on the 28th, then it can't be Boxing Day. Nice to meet you on Saturday, BTW.
  2. Boxing Day is Dec 26th. HTH.
  3. Was the irony a bit over-masked?
  4. Of course, there was a really healthy and respected rivalry when we were both in the Prem. And in addition in 84 for the Cup game at Fratton when they were a decent Div 2. team and we were in our glory period.
  5. Agreed. Maybe Elliot Ward could be the missing piece of the jigsaw. More importantly, we need to keep hold of Lambert and Lallana.
  6. Rasiak not doing the business then? Shame.
  7. There'd be a lot of idiots within that 3,000 if it is to be Luton. They are one of those clubs that have a potentially decent following numbers-wise, but unfortunately a lot of their floaters are utter ***ts.
  8. Rattlehead, you are almost as prolific as Lallana at the moment. Heroic work.
  9. I suspect the transfer ban will soon be lifted. Can't believe Grant would have been stupid enough to take the job if that wasn't the case.
  10. We'll keep a clean sheet on Tuesday.
  11. I think he was mentioned on this forum recently, but there are also a couple of CCC clubs after him. He's very tall, so would be handy.
  12. Are you getting a clear picture though?
  13. OK thanks.
  14. I've downloaded Sopcast and TV Ants and I can't get a picture on any of these links. Do you know if any of them are showing it on Windows Media Player? There doesn't seem to be a link to the Polish channel Sport Klub, which I note is showing the game (as they did for Bristol Rovers).
  15. Solent said this was the case in their bulletin at 8.15.
  16. I fear Bournemouth have a 25% sell-on clause though.
  17. Is that through the livefooty site? I used that for the Bristol Rovers game. Polish swines showed highlights of the 4-3 debacle at Tranmere at half-time. Perhaps they've got our defeat at Port Vale in 94 lined up for this Saturday.
  18. Stupid me. I forgot Neville and Heath.
  19. Rupert Lowe Harry Redknapp Alex Ferguson Neil Warnock Billy Davies Roy Keane Ian Wright Christiano Ronaldo David Speedie Craig Bellamy
  20. This is very true. A lot of our possession play was just passing it across to James, who would cross from too deep and we would then lose possession. There were one or two exceptions (e.g. the great cross for Lallana's header in the second-half) but by and large our approach suited Brighton.
  21. The Maple Leaff has a bouncer???!!!???
  22. One of my favourite memories from the Leaff was from an evening League Cup game against Liverpool at the Dell (late 90's). We went there for a pre-match pint or two, and noticed some kind of freshers bash was happening in the other bar (for Southampton Institute???). We went back to the Leaff after aeeing Saints win and there was a lad with his face in the grass outside completely and utterly bladdered. Can remember Paul Singh opening the bar for us in his dressing gown as well. The man is a legend.
  23. 1990/91 season, away to Arsenal. We lost 4-0. I was hooked.
  24. They did do minibuses to SMS for the first couple of years afrer moving to SMS, which was a fairly hair-raising experience with Sukhi at the wheel. Unfortunately Sukhi ended up losing his licence, which wouldn't have been a complete surprise to the Leaff regulars. I've been going in there for home games for about 10 years, there are very few places where you will get a more hospitable welcome. Attending a SISA meeting led me to the place, I thought it was the best-kept secret in Southampton. Really hope they'll be open again soon.
  25. OK cheers. It's a bit funny, they keep seeming to have refurbs.
