Yes it must be great fun watching half a game of football. Well worth the £25.

David Cameron mentions Saints v Pompey rivalry in the house today.

and I voted for Cameron. How dare he encourage the survival of P**pey. Judas! -
Just got home. First half was just like Leicester but with a bit of threat RL being back. Could have been 2 down at half time. Second half was quality. Deservedly got the leveller and should have won it. Looked confident, good passing, good movement and seemed to win the ball back with ease. Bit dissapointed we didnt win it and could have easily done so at the end. I think with Sharp coming in, we'll go from strength to strength and genuinly believe there arent 2 better teams than us in this league. Maybe Brum are so Saturday will be interesting.

announced at 19:34. Just over 24 hours before tomorrows kick off.

meaning we'll have a tidy line up of home games towards the end of the season.

The 5th Round Draw - Bolton at home (if we beat Millwall!)
bender replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
If our form improves over the next few weeks we should win this. Given league positions we are an equal to Bolton.. Lets get the replay out the way first. -
I was curling one out for our second goal at Colchester last season. Come to think of it I can say that about a few goals. If Saints need a goal just ask me to go sit on the throne and were sure to score.

RL coming back will be a big bonus. Does anyone know if Fonte is back? A just as important return for me. How about Chaplow?

This. Remember it fondly between 89 and 91. Never forget 4 - 1 scousers in 89/90. A time when Saints meant everything to me. Obviously still a big fan but other things in my life now.
-
when did we last win away to a team not in the bottom 3? I'm fairly sure it was the 2nd or 3rd game of the season. Sort that out and we're mustard.
-
So you didnt see the Forest cup game the other day then? I think your clutching at straws in a vain hope we'll still be top this time tomorrow. Dont worry mate, it'll only be for 2 days.

I really enjoyed my day out to Coventry on that day. Oh no wait, I couldnt get there thanks to the f*cking sh*te train service that day.

So has he actually signed yet?? I thought now the permit has been given he can now sign.

With the exception of Delgado, all those players are ones that had already had their day. With that it has to be Delgado. I remember when Saints unvailed him at Ipswitch home 01/02 and showed loads of video footage on the big screens at half time. We were all drooling at his ability. In the end it was him drooling at the wages he yielded for doing pretty much f*ck all.
-
Clearly the purchase of Delap for 4m was gonna stay as our record purchase for some time - we've been playing most of our football in lower divisions since then. Funny thing is transfer fees were coming down to a realistic amount not long after that, that is until Abramovich came along. That said we'll prob break our record if we get to the prem. I see is spending but not in a huge way. Bit like Stoke.

It was quite a pointless upload with that crap quality. This one seems better.
-
I said that game at Cov was the turning point of our season. We were gash up until we equalised then suddenly we were the team we were.
-
I think clearly we are looking for more but NA won't have his pants pulled down over transfer fees or wages.
-
Some crap certainly being said on here. We may have had mid table in mind in august. However we are top now even if it is a surprise and the board would be stupid to not take advantage of this and invest for this final push. This jap shows a signal of intent and I think there could be more to come.

I wouldnt

I uploaded that. You'll be hearing from my solicitor in the morning.

The only time I was really scared at a football match was the Saints v Man Utd game in 2005. I was so nervous before the game at the pub, really not enjoying the pre match beers. I remember going to the game and the first thing that hit me in the concourse was worried Saints fans looking up at the telly watching Rooney, Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy etc all warming up and obviously expecting to play rather than being rested for the cup final the following week. At that point I knew it was all over for us that day. If we do get promoted this year, I'll look back at this day.
