it was only made law within the last 5 years or so. It was an option before. The letters school sent home used to say something like the cost of the trip is £xx we would like a voluntary contribution of £xx. Now its says we are not allowed by law to charge for the trip but would like a voluntary contribution of £xx

firstly i feel your pain (having 4 kids at schools, junior and senior gets expensive). Each school gets a budget for the year, this budget includes a small amount for extra curricular activities, such as trips to France etc etc. The school used to be able to charge parents for these trips but new laws stated that this was no longer acceptable, so to get round it the schools, in their letters say things like "...as it is now illegal to charge for these trips, a voluntery contribution is required for the trip to go ahead..." now that p!sses me off, because the contribution is higher than the old amount they used to charge! And, they make you feel guilty by plugging the "wont go ahead if not enough is raised" part! Im all for paying for my kids to goto France or Italy etc its the small pointless trips in between that gets my back up, like the Minstead or Avon Tyrel (sp) trip. £200 + for 4 nights in the new forest!!

id like to think that the others havent just been sitting on the hands whilst this has gone on and on. Dont get me wrong i want the pinnacle bid to go through, just very concerned about the time its taking...plus im itching to know who the guy is behind it all

as much as i want this to work for pinnacle and for us. i am very worried about the length of time it has taken. The players / staff etc are due to be paid thursday. The players themselves need to know what the hell is going on, who's staying etc. Wotte needs clarification also. The longer this rambles on the worse next season will be for us. This needs to be done this week, whether that be Pinnacle or Swiss lot.

thanks for update TL. We have to put this to bed now, wages are due, players are back training. If we are going to get anything positive out of the new season we must get stability now, not next week.

you dont get this do you? We were told, by Lord whats his name that the football club could appeal. Now we are being told that we cant. Why, because the league know we have a case.

plenty of back handers there then! Its about time something was done about the way the league conducts itself. Can us as fans do anthing?

Not just MLT's but that also of the backer worth "hundreds of millions" I like the way TL has gone about things and has worked very hard on it all. Its not his fault the league are being tossers over this.

exactly that! There has been some instances where teachers stopped kids bringing in empty toilet rolls because of health risks!!! Also, it used to be no running in the corridor, now its no running in the playground and in sports day, no one wins just in case the losers get upset.
