The ball is in play for about an hour, so 2 x 30 mins would work better. Otherwise games will take 4hrs to finish. We could also let the teams change players when the ball is out of play, show ads, let players pick up and throw the ball, and focus on yardage and play phases.

Well this is boring. Archer still managing to look terrible.

Nah, didn't register - too obviously false.

Yeah she got that wrong, she seems the type who should advocate for intersectionality and so be a bit more educated about disability. Is she the same woman who used to appear on itv with piers wankstain Morgan? If so, she is looking thinner and younger than before.

Meh, Rosie Jones brought out a documentary called "am I a retard" recently, and the uproar wasn't off the scale at all. A lot of the pearl clutching outrage is just the mail trying to get people outraged and clutching their pearls.

Keep the phobias to the lounge, please. I do watch the opposition streams usually, and the last 2 or 3 have all identified peretz as a weakness, and the Leicester commentators blamed him for all 3 goals too. Looks good today though, only one heart in mouth moment so far, but looks like Charlton haven't come to play so should be ok. Usually my stance on players is similar to most on here, manning is awful etc. I guess because my position was always GK I'm more aware of GK choices and peretz doesn't make good ones in terms of positioning and angles, and his distribution is a tenth of what we had previously. Long is not spectacular, but has stronger positioning, I think they are probably equal in quality. Baz with a back 4 would be superior to both, shame he had to sit behind 3 and so ended up rooted a lot of the time.

Peretz had a nightmare and gifted the opposition a 3 goal lead. We will never get away with that again, so hopefully we see an improvement in his decision making today.

It couldn't have been racism though, because eusebio.

We're in the playoff mix now.

Re the Easter story, It was a school in Eastleigh that made the mail and the flagshagger Facebook feeds, 2024 I think. They had a dozen police come to protect staff from protesters, but only 8 racists turned up and their heart wasn't in it, I think it was more of an online viral thing. They aren't awarded school of sanctuary yet, but we do have a few - lords hill, sholing, bitterne manor. If you want to see these people IRL btw, Highfield lane has a human zoo every Friday now, 5pm.

Long looks a lot more assured than peretz, wouldn't mind him getting a run. He just stayed big and protected his near post, things that cost us two goals on tuesday when peretz wasn't doing them.

Peretz must play, he needs all the practice he can get if he's ever going to get up to speed and start making good decisions. Stewart needs to be put in cotton wool, jander needs a rest.
-
Against the 37 billion (net) that they bring with them, that seems a very reasonable cost to be honest.
-
Peretz again, beaten at his near post. Might be time to bring long on, if we're going to try and get 4-3.
-
You lot still think peretz is an upgrade? Slow to his left, in no man's land for the second - what happened to staying big and controlling the angle? He is a liability, we've gotten away with it the last few games, not today. We will have to settle for 4-2 now I think.

I like it, it's like chess with gladiators. Every play is 10 seconds of speed and power, makes for a lot of action. I do like a close game though, don't think will go down as one of the greats somehow.

Starmer won an election didn't he? -
We need around 7 wins with some draws, based on previous years points tallies, perfectly doable with TONDA form so far. A bunch of teams play each other too. Wrexham play Bristol next i think? so if we win our next game, one or both of those are guaranteed in reach, and likely it'll look even closer. Right now, every game is critical to get momentum and to close that gap and get in position. Conversely, if any of the 10 or so teams have a rocky period, including us, they'll sink out of the picture. I think we'll be within 3 pts of playoffs on final day.

We won the game today playing 3 at the back.

Swyer syndrome? That would make sense - she has female body parts, assigned female at birth, grown up as a girl and woman. For most people, they would only ever be aware of the mutation if they got medically tested for sport or fertility reasons. Someone in that situation would absolutely consider themselves a woman. Apparently she will do the IOC testing, so we can look forward to more controversy when she passes and competes in LA, and jk Rowling will lose her mind.

We have 23 games left (15 league season + 3 playoffs + 5 fa cup games).

Maybe it was on FIFA.

Seemed ok for me: The last Southampton player to score a competitive hat-trick for the club was Sadio Mané. He achieved this feat on 1 May 2016 during a 4-2 victory against Manchester City in the Premier League at St Mary's Stadium. This was his second treble for the club, following his record-breaking hat-trick against Aston Villa in 2015, which remains the fastest in Premier League history at 2 minutes and 56 seconds. While other players have come close since then: Adam Armstrong scored two goals in a 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace in December 2025 and was denied a hat-trick by a late save. Che Adams scored a hat-trick for the Scotland national team in June 2025 but never managed one for Southampton, having reached a brace on seven different occasions. Dom Ballard scored a hat-trick for the Southampton Under-21s in May 2025 during a Premier League 2 play-off quarter-final against Fulham. Mané's 2016 performance against City stands as the most recent treble for the first team.
