It all comes down to what you are pre-disposed to read it as. Me, I tend not to see the whinging in people (even our friend Alpine) so I tend to see it as the normal highs and lows of following a sports team, nothing more nothing less. Sure, there are some that take it to the levels of near bipolar extremes, but I cant see that in the quotes above.

Cant see anyone on this thread being alpine-esque. There is a vast difference between saying "we're are ****, we will lose everything, they are all useless" and "well that was ****, should have done better, that innings was a disgrace". Too subtle for you Bungle?
I can think of Bell and Vaughan recently, but Im sure there have been others as well. Maybe time to stop professional sportsmen ****ing about with a football before a match? I cant see many football managers allowing the players to have a little game of rugby as a warm up to 90 mins at SMS.
