I think its more looking at it from the other side of things. These players are out of contract now, so they dont have the time to wait around until (if!) we have a new owner in place. They want to get a signed up to a team so they dont run the risk of not being attached to a club next season. Of course, they could always gamble that we will get a new owner in who wants to run the youth team as the same as it was before AND wants to offer them a decent contract. Big gamble with your professional playing career IMHO.
