Surely thats a good thing StL?

The title states the PLC own Jacksons farm. The "PLC" being SLH PLC, no SFC Ltd.

Couple of points. The press conf was held at St Marys Stadium, not at Southampton Football Club. The club itself is a non-physical entity, and the stadium is "owned" (or was) by SLH. Im not 100% sure about this, but I think playing staff are "paid" by SFC, with other staff such cleaners, stadium workers etc paid by another part of SLH.

Are the players paid by SFC Ltd or by SLH PLC?

Why are poeple discussing how much the land is worth or how much we paid for it? That is all totally academic in this discussion. It could be worth 1p and we paid £1Mil for it, it doesn't matter, what does matter is that the future development of the land can be considered a separate business entity of SLH away from the club, "proving" that SLH wasnt just a shop front for SFC Ltd.

how are you going to fund transfers in the off season? Thats another couple of million you will need. Where will the money to rent St Marys come from? How are you going to pay staff like grounds men and cleaners?

The Premier League and the Football League, whilst being looked over by the FA, are both self regulated bodies that work independently. The Premier League is not a re-branded "First Division", it is a new league set up by the 22 founding members (1 vote per club), with an agreement jin place with the Football League to allow relegations and promotions.

If they were a debt free club, then from a business POV (I assume we are talking about trying to keep us going and not about trivial rivalries), then go for it...
