Depends what you want from a full-back ... for me Calum is technically better (better passer, crosser and better at the 'tippy tappy' ball retention in a tight space stuff). Luke is the better athlete - stronger, quicker, more direct etc. All IMHO obviously but I think Luke is the better player at the moment because he is far more confident and generally makes better decisions ... if Chambers catches him up in this department then who knows?

My daughter plays for their U12s (pictured in the article winning a national competition in Coventry last summer) and lived my dream in her very first first season as an U10, scoring the penalty shoot-out winner (wearing the saints strip and badge) in their Cup Final. They have a really good thing going at the club and I know many on here will scoff but they really do have some great little players. If they can keep them together then the future will be bright for the ladies first team I'm sure. The biggest problem they have in my opinion is that they really do lack serious local competition and need to be pushed far harder to progress.

Excuse my ignorance, but how does this work if you have a season ticket? If a ST holder wanted to take their kids with them to a league game would they automatically transfer from their usual seat to the family area in the Chapel (and get a paper ticket printed for entry to the stadium) whilst their usual seat is sold on for that game?

After watching U21s game on Friday night I would agree about Turnbull ... was very pleasantly surprised but perhaps the hardest position for a youngster to break through? Absolutely disagree about Cropper though ... seems a good shot-stopper but too small for me. As for Matt Targett ... looks like he could do a job one day but for those saying he could be back-up this season all I would say is imho he looked a long way off Luke Shaw at the moment. Anyhow where was that post where you made those predictions Glasgow? ... Surely a great opportunity for you to prove your integrity to all those who doubted your dubious claims about your betting activities.

Respectfully ... perhaps the people that come on here to have a good row with another interweb warrior, try to be funnier than the other Saintsweb 'celebs' or generally to 'big themselves up' and brighten their otherwise dull and empty lives are the ones coming to the wrong place ...

I'd be relatively happy to like it or lump it if a half reasonable reason were given. These explanations also help us all to understand what the Mod team consider to be unreasonable or inappropriate.

This would save me hours each week Steve ... I can generally tell by a thread title or the OP whether it is something I want to look at. Not interested in How many 'Saints girlfriends' anyone has had or what birds they've taken to the football (still no explanation as to why these are more worthy of a place on the Saints page than Minsk's threads btw?) so I just don't look at those threads. Separate thread for each news item or rumour please going forward.

Common sense says they will .. Don't want to sound like a 'suck-up' but modding can't be an easy job on this site. Can't help but think if certain things had been nipped in the bud then their lives would be a lot easier though. A stitch in time ... and all that.

If this were true surely our mods would be moving the thread rather than locking it? To be fair I think Minsk's threads are far more deserving of a place in the Saints area than the recent 'Saints Girls' and 'Accrington Stanley' threads ... Perhaps a mod could take the time to explain why these were allowed to run and assure us that the mod team are applying a consistent set of rules? If I didn't pay my fiver every year, I'd keep my opinions to myself. However, I make the payment to do my small bit to keep the site running, not so than so that I can post more than three times a day (my join date versus post count bears this out!) and I, like many members, am getting pretty fed up with having to wade through the dross posted by the current batch of half a dozen or so Saintsweb 'celebs' to get to anything remotely interesting. Don't get me wrong ... we're all different and I'm a 'live and let live sort of guy' but surely that's what the Muppet Show is for and the boundary between it and the Saints area gets more and more blurred by the day. Alpine gets a rough ride on here but, infuriating as his posts often are, he's entitled to his opinion and is nearly always on topic.
