Only other poster I've known to steal avatars was Glasgee, Bear. He would only really take them for a day or so - probably because he knew the dangers all too well. You do not. While I am perfectly happy for you to continue using the pap brand for your posts, you should be aware that there are consequences, dude. Some people only come on here for the pictures. Think what you're doing to them
  2. Like most Saints fans, really wanted him to do well here. Fits our profile of taking a gamble on a player. The gamble did not pay off, unfortunately. If Poch couldn't control him with a prior relationship to draw from, and no-one else seems to be able to handle him, can't do with him back here at such a crucial stage.
  3. It's something that applies to entire teams too. Liverpool were crushed by it last season. They threw the league away at the exact moment it was in their hands.
  4. Mid-left is a ring-piece. Not only do I have all Bear's (and someone else's too, possibly) avatars, I also have his answers.
  5. Sorry mate. Easy mistake to make. Is this yours? I need to label stuff more clearly.
  6. Took a look through my saved files for you, Bear. This one was unnamed. Does it belong to you?

If you mean this Barry (pictured in article), then yeah. http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2015/feb/08/immigration-street-channel-4-derby-road-southampton-benefits-street-demonised Good bloke.

....and you'll see Tony Pulis is the super-special guest. Brought in just for CB Fry.
  9. It's all down to the club's apparent policy of hiring overachieving coaches, sadly. Perhaps the board contrasted its policy of taking a chance on smaller kids with Pulis' Stoke-era transfer activity, which he largely conducted with a tape measure. Perhaps the goals were different; bumpy relegation fights versus a genuine shot of getting into Europe via league qualification. As long as we beat Arsenal and remind the world we're not completely sh!t, eh? I'm not saying you're wrong, btw. He could have been our Tony Pulis. However, I believe the correct way to express this is on a Friday night, with the people you talk Saints with, repeatedly. He could have been our Tony Pulis. He could have been our Tony Pulis. I don't want to labour the point, but you get the idea.
  10. Would you say it was a hammer blow?
  11. If we get in they'll never pitch it that way. We'll be Europe's Young Guns, proof that football isn't a big club dominated spectacle and plucky underdogs all over again. They'll say literally anything to stop us from wasting that Champions League spot

    Sci-fi Fans

The races in Trek are interesting. Most of them start out as an exaggeration of a human concept or emotion, but end up getting fleshed out a lot better over the years. Klingons were violence, Vulcans logic, Ferengis avarice and the Cardassians were just weird composite of spite and arrogance. All of those races have been explored a lot more through the series and films, and are all much more rounded as a result. Even the Borg get some decent treatment. I'm not a big fan of the queen concept in Borg lore. Always felt that they were much scarier when it was just a hive mind; TNG played well with this concept of individuality in a couple of its later Borg episodes. The Queen concept seems like it was created to give cinema-goers a recognisable villain to root against in First Contact. That said, I thought Seven of Nine's introduction into Voyager added some very thoughtful stuff to Borg lore, especially the episodes that examined collective vs individuality. My favourite Trek villains have to be the Dominion in Deep Space Nine. Beautifully conceived from start to finish, provides some nice "oh sh!t" moments throughout the series, and very much take-no-prisoners in their approach.
  13. Some shooting from the hip going on up there, I reckon. Whipping out the automatic when it wasn't called for. Personally, I think CB Fry seems more upset. We never got "our Tony Pulis" in the end. I expect he'll be inconsolable for the rest of Tony's tenure at the Hawthorns.
  14. Are you still pretending you know about football and things? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?42747-Are-people-beginning-to-see-what-Cortese-is-up-to&p=1600461#post1600461
  15. Not recommended. The car will win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DovP5MNASVM
  16. Thoroughly pleased to see the best team win and the right scoreline achieved. I'm a bit gutted that I didn't put Mane on as first goal scorer, especially because it was building all game. I am delighted that it was such a sweet goal when it finally came though. Have to admit, was a teeny bit worried when they brought Vargas on; reading the excellent Fans Network post-mortem of Redknapp's departure, seemed like this guy was a stat-monster that was neglected by 'Arry and would have everything to prove. Fortunately, other than perhaps contributing a new beard/hairstyle combo, the bloke didn't make a significant impact. The antidote to the Swansea game, really. Plugged away all game, and did get the 3 points. Everyone'll take that.

Probably. The BAP mandate never got any, unfortunately, but this one should.
  18. C'mon mate, what more do you need? The policies have been clearly announced, people within the DWP are breaking ranks and telling us that this is policy, there are tons of cases of people being sanctioned. Why do you think an organisation like ATOS has been brought into play? I know you'd probably like to believe the spin about getting people into work, but it's realistically about reducing the benefits bill, and those two things are not the same thing. The behaviour of Job Centre staff just seems to be an extension of that policy. What do you reckon happens when someone on an already low income loses that income for n weeks through a benefit sanction? Does that put them in a better spot to work? Of course not; it reduces their ability to attend job interviews, puts them in the hands of the loan sharks and creates more problems down the line.
  19. There looks to be a clear culture of sanctions targets. Those look to be clear examples of people trying to meet those targets. The perennial problem with right wing thinking is never considering the consequences of all those ideas that looked sounded great in soundbite form.
  20. Not really. Was talking about the rise in that kind of activity in the year leading up to her going, but you knew that. You feel better for having your little talk?
  21. I see Galloway did alright despite being set up in a hostile audience. It would be interesting to see a rabid Zionist turn up on QT in Bradford.
  22. X-Rays of stuff that got stuck up people's bums. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/man-gets-coffee-jar-stuck-5111469
  23. This is a good one. Apparently, this gang managed to pull £1.6m out of ATMs, by infecting the buggers with malware. Even better, the malware deleted itself after the hack, apparently. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/cyber-crook-jailed-software-attacks-8591281
  24. Sorry mate, did some research and it's true. Please view the image quickly. Connor will be along to pilfer it in a bit
  25. But it wouldn't seem that way to him. Separate, demonic voices would be heard, pulling him this way and that.
