However from the Telegraph article on the other thread it appears the Liebherrs may now want to start getting more involved, rather than sell. But wasn't this what the row was about last summer? If so the chaos caused when they first started the roadworks will continue once it is finished. Well given he has today posted a pic on Instagram saying he is at a Spa in London, I'm guessing he's not back this week! Shame as I thought he was well on the road to receovery and would be available this weekend.

Did someone say he was back in light training? So probably end of this month. Together with Boruc they both have been big misses, which clearly shows in the amount goals conceded since beginning of December. Also when is Boruc back? Was hoping it would be for the West Brom game but got a feeling we will continue with Davis in goal.

Why didn't we just accept the charge instead of appealing it, knowing he was injured. He would now have served the 3 match ban. Now he's been missing since 14th December and will be until the start of February. What a joke.

All December and today proved is our back up isn't good enough. Our strongest starting 11 is a very good side, who can give anyone a game in this league. I really think we are missing Wanyama, our defensive midfield just seems too weak at the moment. If, when we can again field our strongest 11, things don't start improving then questions may need to be asked. Until then some need to get over it and realise we will probably finish 8-10th, which I think is a great improvement from last season.

Best to postpone the game for when we have our strongest side back then!

I don't expect Boruc to be back until West Brom game on 11th January, with Davis playing in the FA Cup game. Although I hope Davis is picked ahead of Gazzaniga for Everton and Chelsea. Despite the clean sheet yesterday Cardiff didn't really offer much of a threat, Everton will.

This game really reminded me of how we played at the start of last season. Lots of good attacking play, shocking defending. I thought Yoshida was woeful. Why he started baffles me, he just couldn't deal with the long balls most of the night. And as we knew already Gazzaniga is no where near a Premier League keeper. If Davis is fit Saturday I would have him in goal. We could be in for a thrashing against City, but then again it wouldn't suprise me if we won. Oh well, good job we have points on the board early.
