Yep, really happy about a new academy player coming through who might help us finish slightly higher in the table in a few years to come whilst we don't use our best players to actually win something worthwhile.
-
It is worth getting worked up over. P*ssed away a very high chance of getting for Wembley for no real reason whatsoever.

Can't say much more than this. Tried to not post yesterday but I'm still just as angry today. I'm normally over a loss by the time we're back in the pub. As you said, glad our end showed the players what we thought of the performance and the effort at the end of the game.

Didn't want to post when I got back from Sunderland late yesterday because I was so livid. Haven't read the thread so will probably be repeating things. 4 trips to Sunderland in the last 10 months for absolutely f*ck all. In the post match interview it was said that we played our best possible team after taking Tuesday's game into account. That game was meaningless, and yesterdays wasn't. So why the f*ck did we not rest a few key players on Tuesday night? I don't care what anyone says, if you're one of the players in that dressing room and you see that we're not at full strength then it's going to automatically make your head drop. Same for Perez doing the interviews. I said it on Thursday or Friday that I don't think it shows we're taking it seriously and some of you said that was b*llocks. Well what message does it send out? It shows that he's not really arsed about cup competitions. Pochettino barely got off the bench for the whole game. Luke Shaw seemed to be the only one who wanted it. Even Poyet came out and said they'd rather lose than draw, and their pathetic attendance yesterday showed their fans couldn't have cared less about it either. We should have seen that as an opportunity to put our first team out and smash them to pieces. As has been said 100s of times over the last few days, what are we going to remember in 50 years time? The season we finished 7th/8th in the Prem or us all having a day out at Wembley and winning something serious for only the 2nd time in our history? The only one claim that Pompey have to being a bigger club than us is the trophies they've won and for a club of our size, having only won one major trophy in our history is quite pathetic. My old man doesn't make many away games any more due to his age and I'd have loved to go to Wembley for a cup final with him, after hearing all his stories from the FA Cup run in 76, the final and day at Wembley and subsequently the week after and all the celebrations. Probably won't get the chance to now. What's the point in being in the Prem with all these good players if we're just going to bob along in mid-table every year? I'm quite glad that the couple of players who did have the b*llocks to come over and clap us at the end of the game got told to do one, that performance deserved it. Most of them just ambled straight off down the tunnel. The annoying thing is that I can't see any explanation or reason for why we played that team yesterday or why we just didn't seem to care. Anyway, a bit of a rant/ramble and might not make much sense but I'm still angry after yesterday.

I remember games away at Sunderland/Everton etc when we were last in the Prem and having less than 500 there. For a similar sort of game as tomorrow, we'd have had less than 300 there before. I think going down to League One has improved our support with cheaper tickets, because before then we were sh*t away from home. It seems to have carried on into the Prem again. Although vocally I still think we're crap most of the time.

Perez taking the interviews this morning, surely shows we're not taking it all that seriously. I know we've done it for the previous 2 games as well though. Has anything been said anywhere about the sort of team we're going to put out? Anything other than having our best 11 possible players playing in this would be a joke.

Haven't been looking forward this much to a game or this nervous for one for a while. Huge game.

I answered it for ya last week!

Cracking post. What am I going to tell my grandchildren in 60 years time.. About us finishing 7th in the league one season, or winning the FA Cup and all the memories that go along with it.

F*ck knows. Was in a bar called Gatsby's that was packed with birds and some drinks were 50p. It had a pub next to it too, called The Borough I think. Then moved onto somewhere that was open until 4 with some of the most stunnings birds I've seen under one roof. It was a downstairs club but that's about as much as I remember from it.
-
Did a night out in Sunderland after our league cup game up there and I found it better than any night out I've had in Newcastle strangely. Never seen so many nice birds in a club in my life.
-
Is that Air Florida kit available to buy in the club shop then?
-
Did anyone hear earlier about an attempted hi-jack of a plane in Istanbul or sumat? They mentioned it once and I didn't hear about it again, thought it would have been quite big news.
-
Think they do yeah. Would only use it as a last resort if Saints did it though.
-
Stoke have sold 940 tickets. P*ss poor.
-
If we got into Europe and played the kids I'd be livid. I'd rather us rest players in the league next season and try and go far in the Europa League, if it were to happen. How many chances are any of us going to get to see Saints in Europe in our lifetime?
-
I see absolutely no reason to suggest why we shouldn't go all out to win it. I'm sure we'll somehow find a way of not going all out for it though.
-
That's ridiculous pricing seeing as you can get two singles if you book in advance from Euston to Piccadilly for 24 quid...
-
So we should all join in singing a song about missing an elderly Stoke fan? Great idea. Shall we have a minutes applause for every Saints fan that dies from now on?
-
From their forum: I've just got back and have to say Saints fans have been a pain the backside all day and I always thought they were a more mellow bunch. The punch up at the bottom of P2 was a small group of saints fans refusing to sit down, refusing to move and then getting really arsy with the female senior steward. Not a copper in sight throughout the whole thing and eventually a couple of burly stewards wandered down soon followed by a couple more. I could not believe the outright hostility of a couple of the oiks being ejected. Alas the 'big we are' stuff carried on under the putney bridge tunnel, clapham junction and waterloo. Worse than all of that the Bricklayers was packed with saints fans at 1pm ................... good grief. Fantastic news.
