I would guess that they were looking at our new kits for this coming season, and it was probably another generic piece or cr4p, NC probably said, if you're not going to put any effort in, then we'll go somewhere else. And then things happen and NC left. Then the new board came in, and thought '"sh1t, we have no kit for next year" tried to sort it out with Adidas, and they weren't interested/weren't able to produce this years kit in time. I would expect if Cortese was still here we'd have just got a different supplier of kit for this year and it would have been sorted out by now.

I havent decided whether I'm renewing or not yet. Not sure I can justify spending that amount of money again, especially if we're being charged more to watch less. (quality).

Tbf, if Lallana also leaves, we need a top drawer player to replace him. So much has gone through him this season.

The problem is it's not normal to say, basically he's inviting offers. I quite like his openess and comes across as a decent bloke, but he's asking for trouble if he's selling our best players. Relegation doesn't happen by accident, and selling our best players is the first step in that direction. Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to wait and see, and no I don't expect us to push for champions league, however I also don't expect us to rollover and have our bellies tickled by other clubs.

We do need a solid defensive CM whose job it is to just boss it in front of the back 4. All defences will leak goals if there isn't enough protection in front of them! I feel privileged to be a saints fan. Absolutely love the way the club is run, love the academy, love the way we play. Just hope it continues. Has there ever been a sustained better 5 years to support the club? I'm proud to call myself a saints fan, thats the way it should be.
