Are we really in that much of an awful financial situation ? I think it's pretty standard to pay for transfer fees over a few seasons, and the training ground was clearly going to be paid, not out of profit made.

I'd be tempted to play Shaw ahead of Clyne. Give us a bit of pace that we lack when JRod doesn't play.
