Have to disagree with you on that. We look abysmal when Wanyama is on the pitch at the moment. He's 5 seconds behind everyone else and he doesn't deserve to displace Cork.

Eh? Not sure what the stats were but Gaston got bullied out of the game and have the ball away a lot. Davis is a superb link between midfield and the three attacking players and is always the first one out to press. He's such an underrated player for us IMO.

Osvaldo situation has hurt us. We're crying out for an alternate option to Rickie, but we just don't have that.

Second half shows how important he is to us. Is the key link between attack and defence and is critical to the pressing system. I quite like Gaston, but he just doesn't do the hard graft like Davis does.

Not scoring. Injuries. Tiredness plus having less to play for. All factors. Let's not forget te fixture list was VERY kind to us at the start of the season.

No other options. Not sure your point. No probably not good enough but it's him or a knackered Rickie.

He looks like he's put on about 3 stone. Doesn't look anywhere near fit enough in body or mind at the moment.

Actually think Rickie has been much better today than he has been. Lallana unplayable and a joy to watch, Luke hasn't had his best game but still offering us an attacking threat. JRod seems unwilling to make runs into the left channel for some reason . Morgan has been excellent. They look incredibly dangerous when they attack us but when we have the ball in their half they look very average. Gerrard has been anonymous. Really hope we can get a goal or two, we certainly deserve something so far. Been a cracking first half !

Not really. Liverpool are a possession side who really don't like being pressed. Davis is key to our pressing game and this is ideal game for him. Gaston just isn't as disciplined. Sure he'll come on if we go behind.

Probably something to do with him coming from Pompey, fecking us over and going back to the skates? Just a hunch...

Wanyama was great up there from what I remember. Hes great at tackling and stopped the oppos momentum, breaking up play etc, but shocking at passing. If he was in the form he was in at the start of the season, he plays, but he's not he's been shocking. Cork to start for me.

I have to say I'd be tempted to take either Cork or Noble. We really need a player who can tackle.

He's not awful....but hes not particularly deserving of his place in the squad.

1 good game.....thsi is what happened to Cleverley. He had a good game in the Charity Shield a few years ago, and now he's a regular squad member. Should have to earn your spot, not do awfully to get out of it.

Jagielka and Jones in for Smalling and one of midfielders. Would be surprised if JRod goes to the WC too.

Do they do anything apart from solid blocks for 2015? I was looking forward to us moving to Adidas but the kits crap this year and looks to be the same next year. Let's just hope its not a generic kit...?
