SSN reporting Cortese has resigned....then shortly afterwards reports saying his resignation has been rejected, and others saying he hasn't resigned....thats about it...

We are almost the ideal club right now, great academy, good stadium, barely any if any debt, good first team, positive vibes in the club, driven chairman, owner with money, But if the money stops, then this can only get us so far. Cortese tells Katherina that he wants more money and gives her his plans for the next year or two. (wants to spend another £50m this summer to push us to Champions League fight.) Katherina says no chance, i'm not interested and not putting any more money in. How often has Champions League and even winning the premier league mentioned when we were in the lower leagues? Yes it was a tad embarrassing but it's something that Cortese has always said he wants to achieve. Who could forget when Adkins said 'this club will compete at the top of the premiership in the next few years'. Also mentioned was the war chest that ML left us...could this have run out?

Personally id prefer us to be sold and keep Cortese/Pochettino/players rather than the other way round

Why would she have to sell to Nicola? Can Nicola even afford it? How much is the club worth? £2/300m?

But why would Katherina stay? Why has she stayed this long? If she has zero interest in the football club, then what's she in it for? Money....and right now we're worth more than we ever have been. Surely she's stayed at the club because Cortese convinced her to when ML passed away? She probably doesn't want to put any more money in, and has decided to sell up. But Cortese won't stay without the financial resources as he doesn't need to.

Ben Smith and the Daily Mail....the two outlets which we generally leak rumours to. Very worrying. Not sure what these demand are unless they're "win the league and don't spend any more money"

Thought it was a bit odd at the time...

I'm sure that if Cortese went then Kathrina would also go. Why would she stay? She had no connection to the club if Cortese goes? Would Pochettino go? Yes probably. He's been made promises which the club wouldn't be able to fulfill and you always hear Pochettino say he loves it here because he shares the vision with the chairman. Would our players leave? Yes probably IMO. They've been brought in by Cortese and love playing under Pochetttino. Rumours from inside have always said how much the players like Cortese and how good he has always been to them. So yes, I think it would be catastrophic if he left. My personal opinion anyway!

Would probably have something to do with Katherina too. Ties in with us not spending any more money this season. Maybe last season Katherina told Cortese he'd have one season more then she wants to sell up.
