Thought it was a bit odd at the time...

I'm sure that if Cortese went then Kathrina would also go. Why would she stay? She had no connection to the club if Cortese goes? Would Pochettino go? Yes probably. He's been made promises which the club wouldn't be able to fulfill and you always hear Pochettino say he loves it here because he shares the vision with the chairman. Would our players leave? Yes probably IMO. They've been brought in by Cortese and love playing under Pochetttino. Rumours from inside have always said how much the players like Cortese and how good he has always been to them. So yes, I think it would be catastrophic if he left. My personal opinion anyway!

We have a pretty stable club ATM, the last thing we need is the chairman leaving, the club being sold, the manager leaving and all our best players leaving.

Would probably have something to do with Katherina too. Ties in with us not spending any more money this season. Maybe last season Katherina told Cortese he'd have one season more then she wants to sell up.

If we keep finding gems like Lovren and we bring players through of the standard of Bale/Chamberlain/Walcott/Shaw/Lallana then yes. But we'll need an awful lot of luck (and money) to achieve that. And we also need players to stay rather than going to the biggest clubs. Can we potentially? Yes. Will we? I doubt it...

No. All mixed with Boruc, Davis, Clyne, Shaw, Fonte, Lovren, Morgan and Wanyama all missing at some point over the last few months. Pretty obvious really.
