If you look at the journos reporting it, they're all north east correspondents, so it's not a surprise. It's all been fed and fuelled by their local journos trying to create a pile on, which has been pretty successful.

Who knows. I don't believe a thing of what i read atm, as there is so much bullshit being spun.

Would be hugely tinpot, and it will be an incredibly charged atmosphere, given everything thats heppened.

Game on. Would absolutely keep Azaz in for tomorrow eve. we're at home, and he's been brilliant since January on the whole. Peretz; Bree THB Stephens (if fit) Manning Downes Jander Matsuki Azaz Scienza Stewart I do personaly prefer Fellows with Stewart and Matsuki with Larin as I feel they play to eachothers strengths, but think Stewart deserves to start and Larin struggled Sat. Matsuki will also give us some fresh legs and more of a goal threat than Fellows. Nice options to have. Their fans seem to think they're better away from home, so will be fascinating how this one plays out, Theyre a very good side

Maybe we should go with the away kit against them...
-
Now sold out I think.

Tonda said both are fit for Saturday.

Alternatively, he's a big part of the reason why we haven't gone up in the automatic places..... Let's be honest, at the moment he's nowhere near good enough to be playing for us. Also doesnt mean that he won't turn into a decent keeper, but he just simply doesnt save anywhere near enough shots to be considered competent at this level.

I'll definitely be planning on arriving slightly earlier into my seat, normally 5 mins before KO. All a lottery now, get a decent result up there and we can beat them at home, but they're a good side.

Tbf - given the size of the game I'm surprised its reached members. It is an absolute trek though, and it's so expensive to get there. Update as of this morning...159 left

Wrong Thread...!

WHat happens with the 1,000 tickets that Boro won't be using? WIll the segregation be moved and sold to saints fans?
-
Only cos of how well he's done. Don't get me wrong, I'm surprised we let him go and club clearly got that one wrong, but maybe he's exceeded all expectations? What was his contract situation ? I'd assume we have sell ons etc...wouldn't have been big enough for us this season regardless.

Trains are going to be rammed...! Only 3 from Sou that get to Preston before KO.

Ok, but (I don't know what your angle is particularly) but from my opinion, if we have Spors/ whoever who manages the transfer window and gets the players in and builds the squad (his words I believe??) then it can't be Still's fault, just like you can't give all the credit to Tonda for the Jan window. Clearly the Jan window was off the back of a dreadful first half of the season, and between them (whoever was involved) they went a different direction. Weirdly, what the fans had been saying all last season and all summer, we needed a proper keeper, and we needed a proper CF to replace Che Adams, they finally did that wth Larin.

Can see both sides of the coin. I'd probably go "standard" rotation and keep momentum, they get a full weeks recovery after this. Momentum is important. Full backs have pretty much played every game so I'd be tempted to rest both. Peretz Jelert THB Wood Welington Bragg Charles Matsuki Azaz Edozie Stewart

Are people really suggesting the manager signs / sells players? Not sure thats been the case at Southampton for 20 odd years...
-
Jesus, thats a big shout... youre talking about a decent level prem player for 15 odd years, with goals and assists regularly in his game.
-
Yeah, agreed. he's a Bednarek type. Good at getting in the way of stuff, but when you need him to be a bit more progressive, we struggle with him there.
-
It was also a hugely damaged and unbalance, bloated squad.
-
Noone ever gets all transfers right, lets not kid ourselves. Incomings: Azaz - Jury was out for me, but been hugely important to us since Jan. Now looking like a really good signing. Scienza - Class Fellows - Like him but expected more - not bad business and still very young Jander - Class Downs - Shocker - clearly wasnt signed for this season, but looks a bad one. Expect him to be sold or back out on loan next season Quarshie - Time will tell. don't think he was signed as first choice and isn't Roeslev - Poor signing even when he was fit Peretz - Class Jelert - Fine - though not a good fit for our system despite looking like he has something Larin - Class Long- Backup Romeu - Backup & probably had a positive impact in the dressing room despite his lack of playing time Departures: Matty Fernandes - Think we should have got a bit more for him but still good money Dibling - Money looking very good right now Sulemana / Onuachu / Arma / Bednarek / ABK / Edwards - can't argue with fees we received. Ramsdale - big money for a loan... Sam Amo / Juan - Probably should have got more for them both, but not the end of the world. All in all I think you're giving him a 8 or 9/10 for the last few windows...
-
Scienza - the catalyst for us being half decent this season. Honourable mentions to Jander and THB. Difficult to not mention impact Peretz has had, but cant give it for half a season performances for me.
-
I just dont see Azaz coming out unless we don't need to win, he's probably our most important attacking player now. Especially when we don't have an alternative.
-
Winning this could be really important, Firstly, obviously the off chance of us finishing 2nd but also the mental boost it will give us ahead of the playoffs to beat them. 2 massive games left, and we can rest on Saturday if we dont get the job done on Tuesday. But we'll still wanna finish 3rd or 4th to give us home adv second leg. Wouldn't surprise me to see a few changes, but think it will be pretty much this: Peretz; Bree THB Stephens (if fit) Manning Jander Bragg Matsuki Azaz Scienza Larin
