Well it means something different when you only quote part of what I say,
And yes a couple of times but not regularly enough to have a proper opinion on him.
No Morgan is better than Cork, and Wanyama - it will be interesting to actually see how good he is. Although its a very exciting signing on paper, ill reserve judgement until a few months into the season at least!
It's certainly going to be a bit different with the top teams having a shake up, as well as a lot of the middle teams pushing on. Some could collapse like Newcastle did last season, and others could really surprise like WBA did, very exciting! Can't believe it's still over a month away!
Osvaldo would be a massively exciting transfer...but a lot less likely to happen. He is a cracking player, but he has also said he doesnt want to come and known as a bit of a trouble maker. I would be inclined for us to look elsewhere.
Too optimistic I reckon. However I booked my trains last week so hopefully I'll get a ticket ! Sure they'll big demand as a lot of people couldn't do it last year as it was a Monday night!
On a sidenote, I'm going from Basingstoke, and it works out SO much cheaper if you get a return to Banbury and then individual singles from Banbury to Birmingham. It's the same train as well so don't actually have to change...worth a think for those going up on the train although not sure if it's the same situation from Southampton.
3 years ago....yes Lampard was better then, but he's getting on now, not very mobile, and doesn't really contribute that much. Now, I'd rather have Corky, but that's probably more because I thin Cork is so important to the way we play.
Not talking about the last five years, I'm talking about now, at his level right now, I'm not conviced he'd play if he was in our squad....always looks so lazy.
Is it though? Personally I don't believe English players (on the whole) have a good enough touch, and also can't pick a pass. I do agree that poor management and tactics are part of it, but big changes are needed at International level for us to get close to the bigger nations.
Most interesting one for me will be WBA. Had an excellent season last year, but without Lukaku they may struggle. Anelka is an exciting signing for them but he's 34 now, can't see him playing every week ?
Fact is, that on the whole, English players just aren't technically good enough to compete at the same level, and are massively over priced. More work needs to be done on british youth, but at the moment we're way behind.
