Think I was the same over there as I am now, although can't remember. Didn't really post that much to be fair just used to read more....but now with the use of smartphones its all too easy to post. When did it close down? Wasn't there another forum in between this one and S4E as well? Was it http://www.thesaintsforum.co.uk or something ?! or am I imagining that.

Think he'll come good, just going to have to have a bit of patience with him I think. He's not had an ideal start to his Saints career (injuries, fitness, family issues), is still very young, and has just had to move to a new country - can't be very easy for the guy. Despite this, for £12m you do expect a bit more. He has shown flashes of brilliance, and clearly is a very talented lad who at times seems one step ahead of some of our players. But yes, he has been poor away from home there is no doubting that. Once he gets his fitness up a bit more and gets settled into playing every week I think he'll start to show us why we paid £12m for the bloke. Would start him on the bench Saturday and get Lallana on. At the moment, Rodriguez is offering more, so he deserves the shirt. Toss up between Gaston and Punch for who gets dropped...or maybe it will be both of them and Davis also starts...

Depends if he got injured and then tweeted about it straight away. Or whether he did it this morning and tweeted about it now. Either way, if he is injured then he is injured. Not much point speculating about it. Just hope he is fit asap.

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/international-preview-february-2013-638308.aspx This was only posted an hour or so ago, and it says he's playing.

Possibly. Could be something completely unrelated though.

Yer, I stayed with a City fan at the weekend up in Manchester, and watched the Liverpool game with him yesterday before heading home. He was saying how he thinks we'll give them a really good game and he's worried about Lambert up against their defence without Kompany. He predicted a draw. Just think we've got to be careful of their pace up front because if we play too much of a high line then Aguero will get in behind.

Do agree with that. I do feel Rickie has gone a bit under the radar these days with the fans. Rickie deserves his song every game more than once.

Cluj winning at Old Trafford and Liverpool thumping Madrid 4-0??
-
They don't play at Don Valley anymore, they have their own stadium.

If Ricky doesn't get called up with Defoe and Sturridge out, then he never will lets be honest. There aren't that many English strikers anyway - let alone any that score goals. Top English goalscorers Walcott Lambert Defoe Le Fondre Crouch then some other possibles.. Carroll Hooper Graham Holt Any Chelsea/Liverpool/Man Utd reserves...

Whats the point, we'll just be in the same situation as someone like Middlesbrough and Sunderland. Big grounds which will be sparsley populated.

He was quite active on here towards the end of the transfer window. I seem to remember him saying they had some 'world class' players and they'll be pushing for europe !

Match fixing in England...(Champions League)
Saint Garrett replied to Saint Garrett's topic in General Sports
Not sure, as it's not a domestic issue. Could maybe see them being banned from the Champions league for a season though? -
I would guess it would go in this order: Forren Yoshida Fonte Hooiveld Stephens Although I've never seen Forren play, but can't imagine he was brought in as backup. Would expect to see Forren in the side once he's up to speed. He must be incredibly unfit to not even get on the bench yet..!

Not in the last 3 years it hasn't...we did it in our relegation season in Prem, and when we were on our downward spiral in the NPC, but haven't been common since the takeover.
-
Could be tempted if someone makes me an offer I can't refuse. Don't really want to pay for Petrol on my own or £££££££££££ on trains...
-
How !??? He wouldn't be near the England side if he didnt play for Utd.
-
Definitely be looking back at the Swansea, Stoke, Norwich and Wigan games if we do go down. Time will tell.

Think with the new system it's just us getting knackered. But we should have seen it out on Saturday. We were fantastic at getting ahead and staying ahead last season, especially if we were winning at half time, we went on to win every game. Not sure why this season though, concentration maybe, maybe opposition throwing players forward and we can't deal with it or maybe just poor defending.
-
Just hope that when we play a few of those teams at the end of the season, they've got nothing to play for. WHU, Swansea, WBA, Sunderland and Stoke are all pretty likely to be safe and not going for Europe.
