  1. I think they'd probably sack off Preston... We took 55k to Wembley for the JPT...I can't imagine we'd struggle to sell 35,000 for this...
  2. No idea why you didn't all trust me...!
  3. THB or Scienza for me...so far. Scienza is the best player in the league, THB has been superb since Tonda came in, proper leader too.
  4. Got to be most likely. given we play Tuesday and Police will likely want Chelsea/Leeds on the sunday.
  5. Should win, but we do need to be wary of them on the counter. Them not having Aygemang or Brereton-Diaz I would guess causes them issues. In Tonda we trust, can pretty much put out any players and you know they'll be the right choice. Scienza back in from the start for 60 mins, and then replace him when he's getting tired. Same with Stewart. Rotation is so important with all these games I'd probably go: Peretz; Bree THB Stephens Manning; Downes Jander; Fellows Azaz Scienza; Stewart
  6. He's class, integral cog in this machine. Clearly he seemed to have issues at the start of the season whether that's fitness or Will Still, or a bit of both, but since Tonda has come in he's been pretty superb.
  7. It was about 0.5% before last night...! Only downside is that Ipswich have a game in hand on us, and it's against the skates. Norwich (A) - D Pompey (A) - W Boro (H) - W Charlton (A) - D WBA (A) - D Saints (A) - L QPR (H) - W Gives them 12 points = 84 points We win all 6 - 18 points - 84 points - we go up 2nd on goal difference...#ITSHAPPENING
  8. We were however pretty awful in that game, and Claus should have been sent off early on...what a day though...!
  9. Yeah - I'm suggesting it in jest, but who knows. we'd probably have to win 7 of the last 8 to go up autos, likely all 8. But they're all winnable, especially when Scienza is back. I firmly believe the league this season isn't very good, but unfortunately we were shit for 3 months.
  10. Do we ? We play Wrexham (a), Swansea (a), Preston (a), We have 5 home games... I'd be surprised if those two have easier games than us...autos is still on...
  11. Massive news if Scienza is back in training already. Wouldn't expect him to start tomorrow, and maybe not in the squad, but should be back in for the weekend on the bench as a minimum.
  12. Agreed, top bloke. And still wish him all the best. His next job is huge for his career,
  13. Indeed 75 points should see us comfortably in the playoffs...that's 18 points...6 wins... win all 9 and we'll go up in 2nd IMO. 😄 Home: Norwich, Oxford, Derby, Bristol City, Blackburn, Ipswich, Aways: Wrexham, Swansea, Preston
  14. Don't think so. as someone else would have stepped in, but clearly it was a problem. Biggest issue was starting the premier league with an arguably weaker team than that one that got promoted, due to losing Stu Armstrong and Che Adams, we had no focal point all season. He was massively let down by the board signing the likes of Cornet, BBD, Archer, etc. Thats not to say we woudln't have struggled if we had signed other players playing in that way...
  15. The manager hasn't had control of transfers for years at Saints. It's been a transfer committee which dates back to at least Pochettino... The manager is part of that committee along with about 4/5 others. Think it was quite obvious that Martin didn't want a bunch of those players signed, and they didn't fit how he wanted to play. It was a car crash of a summer, to the point that I'm not sure any of those players are playing in the prem now apart from Matty Fernandes who was class, but lets be honest, far from the finished article.
  16. Ultimately, we should beat every single team in this league at home. I expect us to win and if we turn up we will win. Whether that happens in reality is a different conversation...
  17. Wrexham likely to be the day after on the Tuesday eve supposedly, which probably puts the Arsenal game on Friday or Saturday?
  18. Pretty awful opposition Arma turned into a beast for a month dropping deep (teams stopped that happening) Azaz was involved in most things Fellows was causing all sorts of problems. We were massively taking our chances / exceeding our xG... After that, we stopped taking our chances, had to find a new way of attacking, and Arma turned to shit again. Back 4 - game on...
  19. Thing is when you're on a good run you think best case, and when you're on a shit run you think worst case...I think you need around 75 points to get into the playoffs generally.... We should beat: Charlton (H) QPR (H) Sheff Wed (A) WBA (A) Oxford (H) Blackburn (H) That's 18 points - taking us to 64 points That leaves Norwich (H) Coventry (A) Ipswich (H) Wrexham (A) Derby (H) Swansea (A) Bristol City (A) Preston (A) We should be capable of getting another 10-15 points from these games. The league really isnt very good this year IMO, and we are capable of beating anyone. The only team that's looked really decent against us really is Boro. Ultimately, if we don't manage to get 30 points from those fixtures, then we don't deserve to go up anyway. Now how many do we need for autos...
  20. Magic, what a huge result. What a cracking run of fixtures we now have to march up the table. Couldn’t wish for a better run really. My only concern is if the players have the balls to turn up in those games, but last night certainly showed they do…and we have 2 target men options which is better, don’t think we could have won that with Arma up front last night personally…
  21. Feels like we’ve turned up and expecting to just roll them over. Archer is shocking
  22. If there are 2 changes then likelihood is one is Downes out for either Charles or Bragg. I can't see why we'd change the back 4 unless Stephens cant play twice in 4 days. Outside of that, possibly Larin for Stewart or Matsuki in for a-n-other.
  23. WHilst I've thought we've left ourselves too much to do...it isn't impossible... Next 9 league games below: could easily be 20 points from those. It would be a big win for us tonight if we can get it. No reason why we can't beat Charlton, QPR, Sheff Weds, WBA, Oxford. Then Norwich and Ipswich at home are winnable.
  24. Special trip, so glad I managed to convince my dad to go as he wasn't planning on it because of cost. Superb ground and such a shame its being demolished.
  25. Crazy it's only 6 points. Pretty much got promoted because they overspent which brings in huge revenues. Should have been double figures.
