No.

Theyre capable of staying up and do have some good players. Would also expect some names to go there in January as well - probably from Spurs. Huddlestone, Defoe, Dawson, Gallas I could see being on his radar.
-
Well..theoretically we should be getting all the youngsters who are the best in the area anyway.

True, he was pretty woeful. But he's been pretty much faultless in the other games. Such an important player for us and has added a few goals to his game this year. Could have had another one on Sunday.

Yer read this this morning, its very interesting. Especially the subconcious influence he has on the mindset of the players. Get the impression that the club is all together as one. Whats that thing where if you say something enough times you genuinely start believing it. Like that thing with Guly and contracts.

Top player.

Hasnt this been moved to the muppet show yet?!

Same team. Get in front, then bring Rickie off. They're a good side, will be well drilled and won't give us a lot of time on the ball. Will be a very tough match and probably just as tough as Liverpool will be on Saturday. Hoping we can use our attacking flair and get them worried. We're always going to be susceptible to the counter though.

Was superb vs QPR and looked very assured against Newcastle. Had a few dodgy moments when his headers went to Newcastle players but he'll improve.

Saints 2 Newcastle 0 - Post Match Reactions

Thought Fonte had a brilliant game on Sunday and was my MoM. This shows how dominant he was and how little Newcastle had the ball up top. -
I went to Uni there it's really not that amazing, although decent. Liverpool is a top night out as is Leeds. Not a huge fan of Manchester and never done Newcastle. I'll be going up Friday evening and staying with some friends on the wirral.

We've got Norwich on Weds, Liverpool at the weekend, Reading the following weekend, and then a break, and then Sunderland at home on the 22nd. It's the 15th that we aren't playing.

Good. Love a full St Mary's under the lights ! Odd to think this was a L1 fixture 3 years ago !

Can't say I've ever met any of these... Bale is a genuine world class player as he has the technicaly ability as well as pace. Lennon use to be a bit like De Ridder, but I think he's improved a lot in the last few years so he does have some end product. Let's be fair, Spurs are a top 6 side.

Would be surprised if we bring in 3 defenders to start. That would suggest 2 cb's and a left back which would be extremely harsh on Fonte, Yoshi and Shaw. Although I do agree that we can improve in this area, and that we also need backup, but I don't think changing the whole defence just as we're starting to get some consistency would be a good idea.

Fair enough, I thought the first was debateable but the second was pretty nailed on. I'll have a look tonight.

Arguable. We were good against Fulham, we were good against Spurs 2nd half. Swansea we played very well against a handy side, but threw it away with an error. We've only really been 'poor' in the Arsenal game this season IMO. Everton we were in control, and then Everton were awesome for 20 minutes and scored 3 times. West Ham we bossed the game apart from throwing 2 quick goals away and by then the game was pretty much over. Especially when Fonte then went and pulled Carroll's hair. Improvement is for all to see, we haven't been playing badly. It's more naivity and individual errors which were costing us. We've now wised up a bit to the prem and haven't made any **** ups recently.

I have a feeling that was a different occasion. The Fonte challenge was on Tiote IIRC and the player who was down then got up soon after was Cisse. On a side note, I was really unimpressed by him and Ba yesterday.

Don't think people are saying NA is blameless, but he is learning from his mistakes. It's a learning curve for the whole club, including the chairman and manager. Given the position we found ourselves in with 2 promotions it would have been very harsh to sack Adkins. As long as the fans see progression and people learning, and not being completely outclassed then there is no issue who the manager is. Stick with NA he deserves a chance.

We have a problem with the Left back spot. Shaw has been nothing short of superb since he's come in. Yes he's 17 but it would be harsh to bring in someone and block his progress. But on the other hand we've already seen Fox isn't good enough if Shaw gets injured, but at the same time what player is going to want to come here to potentially be 2nd in line to Shaw ?

Why? We don't play with players who can sprint down the wing and swing a ball in. We don't particularly put crosses in, it's more about the fluidity of the movement of the front 4 and interchanging.
