  1. http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=116471 A lot of them think we'll have too much for them, which we really should to be fair. Just worry if Gaston isn't around then thats a big hole to fill, but maybe it will make some of our other boys to step up. Wouldn't be surprised to see us go 4-4-2 with Lambert playing just off J-Rod as we have done a couple of times this season.
  2. I went to Walsall (a), Hartlepool (a), Tranmere (a) and Rochdale (a) in our promotion season. 3 of them on Tuesday nights and a total of 1 point between them with that being a 0-0 at Hartlepool!!
  3. I was at that one, and also there a few years before when a certain Rickie Lambert knocked us out of the cup !
  4. Dellhurst Park.
  5. I was there when we played in our white away kit !
  6. Gaston is clearly class, but he was never going to just be able to come here and take the league by storm....not many foreigners are able to do that, especially ones who are 21! I think we just have to appreciate how good he is. Yes he's going to give the ball away a bit because he tries to play those passes which are likely to get cut out. What would you rather, he passed it backwards and got a 100% completion rate, or an 85% completion rate and actually tries to play cutting through balls. I know what I'd rather.
  7. Alan Nixon on twitter said at the time that Mayuka was 100% a Cortese signing, as he know him. He also stated that it was direct deal between him and the club to the point that we avoided all agents fees.
  8. Is that the 'No respect my lord'? ha
  9. I think all the last day prem games are 4pm on Sunday aren't they ?! So then Sky can leave it until the last minute to decide what games they want to show.
  10. Can't imagine Gaston is much of a golfer !
  11. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/champions-visit-televised-524585.aspx Saints' Barclays Premier League home game against title-holders Manchester City has been selected for live television coverage. The game, which takes place on Saturday 9th February 2013, will now kick off at 5.30pm and will be shown live on ESPN. This will be our sixth televised home fixture of the season, with next month's visit of Everton having already been moved to Monday 21st January to be feature in Sky Sports' Monday Night Football show. In other news, our season-concluding game against Stoke City at St Mary's on Sunday 19th May will now kick off at 4pm.
  12. Someone mentioned on here yesterday that he should be back in time.
  13. I said that Nigel should get the full backing until the Sunderland game, but eyebrows will have to be raised if we're not out of the bottom 3 after that one. I'm one of his biggest fans, but after our tough games we really weren't in that bad position, but we're going to have had all of these home games, we desparately need to win these two. After the Sunderland game we would have played 7 of the bottom 8 at home and would have played 10 home games and 7 away.
  14. Love Christmas it's my favourite time of the year. However going to have to be low key as lost my job last week! Not ideal at all
