I can't see him staying fit all season, and the one thing we are missing in our squad is pace. Although I think Holmes could do a job, I'd rather see someone else come in with real pace to get behind defences.
What did we end up with last year...12000? I would have thought it would have been about the same again, especially as we're ridiculous favourites to win the league.
Anyone heard how many have been sold? I was kind of expecting there to be an update from the club regarding sales. Does this mean they haven't been going as well as they thought they would have? Would be excellent to get 15000 ST holders this season.
He's average, very lightweight, I'm not sure it's what we really need tbh, but willing to let him prove me wrong. He won't start ahead of Lallana or Puncheon though.
There was me thinking it really was great news like a new signing, but it was just another thread about a bloody trumpet and mentioned on another thread.
I'm not from Sheffield. I had a season ticket the season that we stayed up on the last day of the season, and went to about 8 away games...so yes, thanks, I saw him more than enough.
Yer, although Mcgoldrick, Mcgugan and Tyson all played in Midfield out wide for the majority of the season. Garner would be a good player in the NPL1 though in my opinion, although I'd rather have Tyson.
He played 18 games for Forest last season...I think that says enough. He was always behind Earnshaw, Blackstock, Adebola, Mcgoldrick, Mcgugan, Tyson in the pecking order.
I couldn't stand him when he played for us either! He was part of a poor team, yes he scored some important goals, but I think any other striker would have scored them as well. I do thank him for keeping us up on the last day of the season, though it just gave us a bit more time before the inevitable happened. He missed a lot of very easy chances for us as well as scoring.
I've got a close friend who is a Forest fan so went to see them quite a few times last season. He was far from being one of their 'best players'. He rarely got in their first 11.
