  7. what about hamsters, where do we fit in in this crazy world that you live in, where sheep and birds get to vote? You need a good re-think of yourmanifesto if you think that that slogan will win you votes. start small, promise something that people haven't got and that they will all want. Promise free milk for every schoolkid.

  9. I'd actually add yourself to that list dune. You are brilliant. I would hav evoted for someone like you if you had stood. You'd make a great politician imho. Seriously
  10. Breach of Rule 2, but then again you could cite Rule 1 in your defence, so I'll let it go this time. I AM proud, I defend my right to vote however I so wish and I would defend YOUR right to do the same with my life dune. Why not ask the reason for me spoiling my paper? FWIW I am not going to tell you now anyway. No disrespect but I know exactly how you feel, you should have heard my own view on NOT voting Labour 4 years ago. Something has changed and I have changed. I feel that I have seen the way forward for society and it does not involve any politician that walks this mortal soil. It is actually THEM in power who are the problem. My message is in no way aimed at the smaller parties, who I would dearly like to hear speak in my parliament, I like to listen to everyone's arguments. My message is to whoever wins, and that includes any hung parliament. I want nothing more to do with them and I just wanted to let them know in the best way I can in my very humble opinion of course.
  11. /\ They put them in the water now RandR, seriously. Have you ever read 1984 by some old bloke who's name escapes me? He was a modern day nostrodamus, amazingly accurate, aprt from the date bit I grant you, but a genious none the less.
  12. Let's have a Saintsweb 'Exit Poll' I'll go first if it makes some feel safe in 'coming out'. Be honest and don't shoot people down. I would be interested to know how we all voted (or not)? I spoilt my paper (wrote 'none of the below') and sent it in. Mrs h won't mind me telling you all that she simply wripped hers in two and went straight round to the post box around the corner and I believe that she now holds the World record for someone voting in an election. Is thaat an actual record I wonder? I'm married to a ****ing world champion! Bloody hell!
  13. Assasination
  14. Right! We should have a theme imho. Take turns to nominate themes. If any one wants to play, just for tonight, I suggest ... POLITICS and the election in particular? Onions er Green.
  15. I was once on Radio 1. Simon Bates chose us as the 'workplace of the day' and iirc played our request - Suzanne Vega's Luka. It's not that hard to get on the radio nowadays and as for The Saint I used to use all sorts of different names to win stuff, trouble was remembering who I was supposed to be when I picked them up from reception. Relegation year I literally could not give the tickets away so stopped entering, that Stu is probably when you started to win stuff....because I let him. Best win was probably a signed backstage roadie's tee-shirt signed by all of Nickelback. Never knew how popular they were so sold it on E-Bay for about £20. Actually I did win tickets for The Who at the Rosebowl but as I had family staying I gave them to my skate brother. A friend later that day when i told him called me a bad word and said he'd have paid me a hundred quid for them. Bugger!! Apparently it was a special concert for Who officianados, something to do with the drummer perhaps? Anyway, can;t stand the Who and would have happily used the tickets as bog paper.

  17. Wilkes (Mr) ----------------------- it's an emmerdale thing.
  18. Gillingham away, not the best but a 'moment' nevertheless: "Elvis is a Sainst fan, Elvis is a Saints fan'
  19. I remember a time when the fans were welcomed onto the pitch, an echo photographer would take a snap of us all and if your face was circled in Monday's edition you won a signed players shirt. At the Dell I recall a similar set up whereby the players would throw their shirts into the crowd stood in front of the West Stand, best I ever did was to get in a fight over Danny Wallace's shirt ending up with one shoulder/sleeve which has pride of place in my nephew's New Joysey apartment.
  20. Trago Lounge does lovely authentic tapas. Portswood, near to The Mitre.
  21. Yes sir it was. Were we THAT obvious? I lived in Sally Port Gardens many moons ago and was pointing out to my 2 grandsons, son-in-law and mrs hamster's ex the houses and further along the gardens from where we used to scrupm and nick army apparel. That alleyway set back opposite number 7 has a dirt air-raid shelter hidden behind a fence, and someone I know ;-) broke into that nursery when it was a NAAFI.
  22. Seems so long ago now Nick, can you remind me what the score was mate? While you're at it could you also remind me who owes me beer too please? I did have a list but it got put in the washing machine, I'm sure that you were on it nick.
  23. Thanks for that Hunty. I'm now thinking about serting up a website for away fans..... .....oh! From what I've been hearing actually, there were in fact no bad pubs to found in Gillingham on Saturday.
