We weren't too bad against their set-play's today I thought, which is progresss surely. I ain't even had a drink yet and I'm starting to see a few +'s. It may not have been nice to watch, we got way too excited at the sending off. It was a good day to have a bad day if you know what I mean. It was there for the taking, the the ref and linesman on the Itchen side were poor. Even the chap who 'commentates' behind me got a few wrong, and he's usually very good.

I left the ground not feeling very positive at all, but am now starting to see that our defence did pretty well, a few wayward passes out of defence, but don't think Colchester troubled them as much as you'd expect from a 'top' team in this league. We let ourselves down imo, a golden opportunity to get an easy peasy win today, made easier with the red card, but only 2 points lost due to Colchester being rubbish (as I predicted earlier this week I might add). I thought that the defence communicated and moved to cover each other really well today. I particularly enjoyed seeing Thomas pushing up in the first half, although it proved fruitless.
