My first ever paid job was chipping spuds in a chip shop, had to quit when I broke a finger running into a wall in PE. That's a lie actually, first paid job was 1 week as a paper boy, all the other paperboys would stuff comics, small toys, sweets etc in their sacks whilst the shop owner was counting out the papers, my conscience kicked in and I left rather than turn to a life of crime. True story.

Nipped into the one in Hedge End today (TJ Hooker's or something similar) and bought a large portion so I'd have some for my work colleagues to tuck into when I got back to work. £2.60, very generous portion. Doused in vinegar with a sprinkling of salt. Mmmmmm. So lovely in fact that the few that survived the journey were secreted for the drive to pick mrs h up from work. I feel like a stuffed pig now. I can't understand why anyone would NOT have S&V on chips. In fact I was told years ago that the vinegar neutralises the fat they are cooked in, making a relatively healthy meal.

Watching 'The 7 Dwarfs' on C4 last night it was bugging me as one of them looked like someone I knew, just couldn't think who it was....then I saw this thread. Cheers fellas.

This morning on the Julian Clegg show they were talking about some chef on the IOW who's been advised by the police to take his 'Rook Salad' off the menu, it's apparently illegal. If you listen back to the show and skip to 1 hour 22 minutes he has Suzanne from Thornhill on, a lovely sounding lady who used to have a 'pet' rook called Jimmy. There could of course be a perfectly plausible and understandable reason why she went a bit ott on Saturday. I don't.think that I need to.spell it out. All men on here will know precisely what I am referring to. Or should that be 'to what I am referring'? Anyyway, its what you do with the money that makes ALL the difference. Intelligence does.not necesarily equal cleverness. I've known plenty mates earning well who will be owned by the banks til they die. Sad but true. You simply can not measure quality of life by the age of your car, size of your house nor the times you've flown to exotic places. The big.question is at what age can you sit back and say, what I have I actually own. They don't teach common sense in imo unfortunately.

Not even 2nd now. They are like an annoying little brother, I know, I have one just like them. My big brother on the other hand is sound as a pound, ironically, he is a skate. Work that one out!
