  1. Deal to be completed within 96 hours. Fry cautiously optimistic. Everyone else going bonkers. If this goes on much longer I may have ****ed up all the money I was intending to spend on a Season Ticket!
  2. "Jaw Jaw" is better than "War War", or something like that anyway! Like everyone else, this is doing my head in, please keep talking fellas and someone give them some coffee to keep going...
  3. I don't really think it's about Mr Fry or bidders "messing up", it's about whether there is a deal that's acceptable to the creditors or not. Sadly, it's only Southampton FC / SLH that has messed up over recent years.
  4. Sounds positive WS, but then it has done before! Hoping that you mean this Friday (15th May 2009), and that you are right. If true, presumably there are managerial short-lists already being worked on, a quick managerial appointment is a must, 'football people' must be involved rather than yes men and people who understand the requirements of the division (sounds obvious but not going by the last few years).
  5. Doesn't look like many pubs around this 'ground' (Falmer): http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/StadiumGallery/0,,10433~1652758,00.html Could be a quality weekender down there next season for those that get tickets at the Withdean, and a few who don't no doubt...
  6. I wonder, are "the Club" (whoever that is now!) expecting 4,000 based on no takeover before this £20 pub game, or with a takeover before this game? If there is a supa dupa takeover I would say 4,000 would be disappointing.
  7. Sounds like the real deal. I'm fully signed up to whoever is delivering this blueprint for future success... :-)
  8. "Wilde's affection for Southampton FC was undoubted."
  9. Good fish 'n' chips from Goodies in the Precinct Chandler's Ford, bargain!
  10. Thanks Michelle. If any second allocation goes to members, I may only need one more ticket (i.e. can get two with memberships). bmthred - I guess it will depend on how much demand there is at Forest (which may be to some extent depend on their result tomorrow at Blackpool). If they're safe there may not be as much demand at their end, and I'd guess they'd be happy to give more tickets to Saints to get the £££ in. So potentially they could give us another 2k. But I guess the demand may be lower at our end too now, although a lot of people are up there for weekenders, myself included! So to sum up I don't know how likely, but things should be clearer by Monday!
  11. Anything with some gallows humour. Nothing corny like "we'll be back" as they have a habit of backfiring!
  12. Is David Jones still drawing (leeching) a salary out of the club? Surely he's not needed anymore is he?
  13. Swansea purely for the weekender, Mumbles etc. Game was ****e. Reading for the day out and result, although we did take a few numbnuts up there. Honourable mention to Donny, but sadly wasn't on the beer that day.
  14. If any kind souls have any spares for face value, please PM me. I'd take three, but one or two if that's all you've got spare. I could collect from the Southampton area, or up in Nottingham as staying up there on the Saturday, with or without tickets. Thanks
  15. Responsibility for administration (purely subjective and just for fun!): "Duck Hunter" - 70% (no explanation needed) "Family Guy" - 15% (for allowing the Duck Hunter in) "The Quisling" - 10% (for handing Whisky George a cheque for £7m) "Whisky George" - 5% (for ****ing up £7m + salaries etc on rubbish) Ok, there may be a few others who could have a very small % : Cowen, Redknapp, Hone, Hoos, Don't Know, Crouch, etc. But that's just the periphery. A (dis)honourable mention for David Jones (the Finance Director, not the manager!) - I'm not sure about him, whether he is just a puppet for others or whether he should cop more flak?
  16. Go Flames!
  17. I think that the more people that go there on Saturday to sing "You're Not Fit To Wear The Shirt" (one or two players excluded maybe at most) as loudly as they can, the better.
  18. Still no news from either club on whether there will be more tickets or not?
  19. Great start, and the other Div One game hopefully heading for a draw. Nice to ditch the traditional Hants (Saints) slow start to the season!
  20. I don't think there's any need to wait for tomorrow's result. You could have sold half of the next batch before tomorrow's game had even kicked off, there's enough people planning weekenders who aren't bothered about tomorrow's result.
  21. If you're heading up from Gloucestershire grab a lift with Rupes. As a fan, he'll be going no doubt...
  22. Would it be fair if when the next batch arrives (assuming it does arrive) then STs and Members can both go for them (one per ST or Membership). Looks like the take up from STs is pretty good so far, so there could well be more demand from STs plus probably a fair bit from Members. Guessing there won't be a general sale.
  23. No problems with ST holders going to their first away game of the season, as long as they make some noise! Assuming the 2nd batch of tickets (Saints should order it ASAP) will go straight to members? Fans aren't gonna have much more than 2 weeks to plan transport, travel etc. (But it's ok, it's a bank holiday weekend so piece of cake, thanks a lot football clubs!)
  24. Jury is still out on that. We will have to see next season when (hopefully) the administrator will be gone as well as Lowe. Good crowds for the last two games.
