Looks to me like the 'proper' strikers like Billy Sharp are not so far ahead of Guly and bear in mind that he does not always play in the striker's role (ie. early in the season when Connolly was up front with Lambo!). Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see another couple of quality signings but I think that we need some perspective in the Guly discussion ! Ps. Maynard and Rodrigues are not even on the list !

Some players display a different body language to others, MLT had a 'languid' style and Guly (albeit not in the same class!) has similar characteristics ! It doesn't mean that he comes off the field without having broken sweat !!

Salient points and you could actually have been talking about Matt Le Tiss as well ! I don't think anyone is saying that he had a good game yesterday but some of the reactions are way over the top ! Maybe we should boo him at the Palace match, that should sort it !!!

Sure Guly did not have a good game today but is it really necessary to use him as a scapegoat for dropping 2 points ? We win as a team and we lose as a team ! I will be cheering him as much as the rest of them come the Palace match next week !

I am pleased to see this thread and that so many agree that the coverage was dire ! I was watching with my daughter and we both commented all through the match just how amateurish the camera work and the commentary was !! Sky beat them hands down, no doubt about it !!

The figures quoted by the many reporters/analysts are all questionable IMO ! The fact is that when they negotiated (manipulated?) the CVA, the final amount was £130 million - this was the figure which enabled them to avoid being liquidated therefore we must take it as the definitive bottom line !! Having won the FA cup in May 2008 and being issued with a winding up order in Dec 2009 (18 months!) you have to conclude that they traded whilst insolvent during this period ! This is why we call you cheats and liars Mr Ho and all of your long winded denials only serve to make you come across as the thickest of the thick Skates !!

I am relieved to find that I am not the only one in this situation ! It is a real bummer that everytime something happens (or even just repairs etc..) it is down to me, as it is a half acre plot with a mixture of hedges and fences it is both expensive and time consuming to maintain ! The background is that my house (almost 100 years old!) was there first and that the newer ones to each side were not allowed to infringe my boundary ! It probably made sense at the time but still a pain nevertheless !!

I have worked with and have a number of good friends from both France and Germany and find it difficult to generalise ! I consider that you meet 'the good, the bad and the ugly' from all nations and it is more the person than the nationality that counts ! Politically however, I do not trust the French (Sarkosy today is a good example!) as they tend to say one thing and then proceed to do whatever suits them and them alone !
