By giving him a new deal we then have the option to sell him for a proper fee rather than get nothing at the end of the season ! As others have said, for what we'd get right now we're better off keeping him....

I came on here this morning expecting the post match analysis to be all about the sensational performance for two thirds of the game only to read a lot of negativity about poor substitutions and how atrocious our captain was 😵 (clearly not everybody but quite a few!). Someone said that the second half was a 'disaster' even although we actually kept a clean sheet! I guess that I should not really be surprised as many of those posters actually wanted the manager gone after the first 8 games of the season! Whilst I realise that it's a forum and all about opinions it does seem that it's almost impossible for some to enjoy the good moments without introducing caveats all the time... True, our performance level dropped towards the end of yesterday's match but the management team will reflect on that, no doubt see lessons to be learnt and react in a calm and considered way which is exactly how it should be! For me, I'm enjoying watching Saints this season more than for ages and will leave the moaning to others.... COYS 😇

This would be a major issue as it includes all ferry passengers (mainly IoW but also Hythe) plus all of those who park on that side of the ground. I'm guessing that we are looking at hundreds of home supporters who would be highly inconvenienced. Relocating the buses will also be a problem IMO. I hope that the club consider this carefully before introducing the changes !

I doubt very much that he will return to Newcastle as he would struggle to get into their injury hit squad right now and they are bound to strengthen come the summer window ! Also Eddie Howe has never been a fan of his, just inherited him when he went to Newcastle after a falling out at Bournemouth ! I'll be surprised if we don't do a deal for next season !

Like many players (including the likes of Aribo!) he would benefit from a run in the team but right now as we're winning that looks unlikely ! It's a bit unfortunate but I would certainly give him a start v Walsall and take it from there.....

I reckon that KWP and Bednarek are deemed to look better as they are in a lower league rather than having improved overall ! The three mentioned have definitely improved and deserve a mention IMHO !

Last time I went there I was in the home end behind the goal when Jason Dodd equalised with a screamer in the last minute (I think it ended 2-2) ! I jumped up as everyone else stayed silent and a steward politely asked me to leave (for my own safety) which I did as there was only a minute or so left ! Hoping for better on Saturday !!

Don’t worry too much, I was there and left 4 mins into stoppage time and missed 2 goals 😫

The average crowds are fairly close to last season and those who attend always seem more positive than the majority on here… The matchday experience is pretty good and tbh I’m enjoying it more than for a long while now !!

After watching Mannings inept performance last night coupled with his blunder for their goal I read online that Ian Maatsen of Chelsea could be available for a loan ! I understand that he is highly rated and we have done business with them in the past (ie. Broja) so could be a good option if it's possible....

Bree seems fairly versatile having played both RB and LB so could quite possibly fill in as an emergency CB. Clearly Bednarek, Stephens and THB are ahead of him but as fourth choice back up I could think of worse options !!
