I don't think any of our recent managers (Selles in particular) has had any idea of what our best 11 actually is ! The squad of 25 is comprised of mostly average players with similar levels of ability and because we don't get results there is a lot of chopping and changing ! We would certainly have been better off picking 11 in their natural positions and sticking with it for a number of games to help them gel as a team but this never happened ! Also the obsession with process, personality, laptops, red zones and all the technical claptrap etc.. must be a distraction for some players who just want to go out and perform without a drawing board full of graphs implanted in their brains !! My greatest hope in the Championship is that we go back to basics, ditch the theory and play with passion and instinct which sadly I doubt will actually happen 😟

Bazunu is not by no means perfect but all this crap about him being our worst ever keeper and also the worst in Europe is total nonsense !

What a lot of you guys don't seem to realise is that the game is all about : Process, personality, principles, systemic movement, competing for space etc..etc.. All this nonsense about moving forward, being direct, using wingers, shooting on sight etc.. etc.. will get us nowhere ! We didn't get where we are today without being 'stats obsessed' so get a grip you lot, you know it makes sense ! Grrrr.... 😢😢

Given that we came back from 1-3 down to Spurs and held Man City for 44 mins I'm not sure that this is fair ! We have limitations in quality for sure but I reckon that lack of effort is not an issue (how do you evaluate intensity against a far superior team when you spend most of your time chasing the ball/shadows ?)

The worst aspects of today’s football for me is : a) play acting ! b) time wasting ! c) haranguing the officials ! d) VAR on borderline offsides ! e) VAR interpretation in general ! f) big team bias by media !

Haven’t really read this thread through but FWIW I’ve always been impressed by Semmens and reckon that he is open, straightforward and sensible ! Adam Blackmore seems to agree and he’s met him many times… I realise that it’s more fashionable to be negative but I work on the principle of judging what I see and hear for myself and he has always come across as an OK guy ✔️

I’ve got grandchildren in Belgium and South Africa supporting the Saints ! They are different to everyone else as Man U shirts etc.. are predominant ! Tbf nobody takes the piss out of them so I suppose it’s just apathy 🥹

Whilst I’m extremely happy to see the back of him I don’t doubt that he’ll get another job in the lower leagues and his tenure at Saints has no doubt set him up for life financially! My biggest issue with him is his ego and with that in mind I don’t particularly wish him well although I can’t say that I wish him badly either ! If I never hear of him or see him again I won’t be in any way unhappy !!

If Raphina was the key to survival why did the oh-so-smart Leeds owners sell him to make Marsch’s job more difficult?? Don’t get the love-in for Gerrard, Rooney & Lampard. None has proven that they have what it takes in management despite being quality players ! The media circus surrounding them would not help either !!

I will be supporting the team throughout the match but as I’m 6,000 miles away I won’t be booing in the stadium (couldn’t offload my ST before I left home which kinda sums up the apathy at the moment) but as I never ever boo anyway it’s immaterial !
