Haven’t really read this thread through but FWIW I’ve always been impressed by Semmens and reckon that he is open, straightforward and sensible ! Adam Blackmore seems to agree and he’s met him many times… I realise that it’s more fashionable to be negative but I work on the principle of judging what I see and hear for myself and he has always come across as an OK guy ✔️

I’ve got grandchildren in Belgium and South Africa supporting the Saints ! They are different to everyone else as Man U shirts etc.. are predominant ! Tbf nobody takes the piss out of them so I suppose it’s just apathy 🥹

Whilst I’m extremely happy to see the back of him I don’t doubt that he’ll get another job in the lower leagues and his tenure at Saints has no doubt set him up for life financially! My biggest issue with him is his ego and with that in mind I don’t particularly wish him well although I can’t say that I wish him badly either ! If I never hear of him or see him again I won’t be in any way unhappy !!

If Raphina was the key to survival why did the oh-so-smart Leeds owners sell him to make Marsch’s job more difficult?? Don’t get the love-in for Gerrard, Rooney & Lampard. None has proven that they have what it takes in management despite being quality players ! The media circus surrounding them would not help either !!

I am overseas at the moment but before I left, I offered my ST around to various people and not one of them took me up on it ! I wasn’t looking for money just a friendly gesture 😟

We’re pretty much on the same page tbf ! I will be supporting the team throughout the match but as I’m 6,000 miles away I won’t be booing in the stadium (couldn’t offload my ST before I left home which kinda sums up the apathy at the moment) but as I never ever boo anyway it’s immaterial ! Anyway as my support for the Saints goes well beyond my dislike of the manager I’m really hoping for an unlikely win on Sat 😇

I normally prefer to be patient and give people a chance to prove themselves and I was even in the “be careful what you wish for” with Ralph ! Unfortunately with this guy his arrogance supersedes all other considerations. It’s all about him and his constant use of the word “I” rather than “us” tells you everything ! He seems to think that relating his experience at Luton is impressive but actually only makes him look “small time” in my eyes !! My added opinion FWIW ! a) When he was appointed I was surprised ! b) When I saw his first interview I thought that he was an arrogant little twat ! c) When we started playing I gave him the benefit of the doubt on the basis that other arrogant twats (Mourinho, Clough etc..) had been successful ! d) As time has gone on I have come to the firm conclusion that he is an arrogant little twat ! e) After yesterday’s performance and result I now know that he is a total, complete and utter, talentless, arrogant little twat ! They reckon that it was not the push but that Mo clipped his heel ! Basically the goal was given, the Villa players got in the ref’s face then VAR intervened! It wasn’t a trip, a stamp nor a kick. In super slo-mo it could be argued that his toe touched the defender’s heel ! How they can consider that as a “clear and obvious mistake” I have no idea but when you look at the Rashford incident at OT and the Salah one at Anfield recently you have conclude that it’s easier for ‘big clubs’ to get decisions than us ! Im getting more and more disillusioned by VAR by the day 😩
