This season started on 4th Aug but the transfer window shuts on 1st Sept even although last season finished at the end of May ! I don't know what the logic is here but it doesn't half make it difficult to manage for clubs, particularly relegated teams who always have a major rebuild to do ! Sizeable salary drop clauses, individual player ambitions etc.. make wholesale changes inevitable ! IMO it puts the decision makers under undue pressure and sends online websites (like this one) into meltdown... Sadly we'll probably drop quite a few points before it all gets sorted but I guess that'll apply to Leeds and Leicester also !

Mason Holgate is the one being talked about so I'd assume that Lyanco would become surplus thereafter !!

The new big screens inside the stadium are very impressive but most of the time they show a 'split screen' with advertising on one side. I would much prefer action content on the full screen and let them do the adverts on a rotational basis !

Given that we will lose a few more players, probably/possibly JWP, KWP, Che, Lyanco,Tella & Sulemana (Lavia is pretty much gone already!) our absolute priority must be for a striker to finish off our good approach play ! We're reasonably well covered in defence and midfield but if we are to kill games off when on top as we were in the first half yesterday a poacher is necessary ! Jöel Piroe has been mentioned as has a loan for Danny Ings but haven't read much more speculation, just hope that our recruitment team are on the case ?? Enjoyed the game last night and as ever I start the season in confident mood 😇

About 30 years ago he came to watch his son in our 6-a-side competition in Wokingham. His son's side got knocked out fairly early but he stayed on to present the cup at the end, was a very unassuming guy and really helpful on the day ! RIP Trevor
