As it was on ITV lots of neutrals were watching and the feedback I had from my mates was that we played well for at least an hour but that the finishing was very poor ! Their deflected first goal on 44mins was a hammer blow.. All thought that 0-3 was harsh on us ! Tbh, an extra game and a trip to OT in the next round has been an avoided so now we concentrate on the league and move on….

I’ve been in Kingsland block 29 since day one with a group of people I’ve known since the Dell days. As I live on IoW I can escape at FT heading south through the industrial estate to the bus area. Everything was hunky dory but now it’s all going to change! Questions : Will there be a net between 28 & 29 ? Will access through the industrial estate remain ? Hopefully the club will be transparent on this before releasing season tickets as I might well pack it in if it goes against me….

I saw Jake Vokins a few times at Woking and he was so crap he spent most of his time on the bench 🥹 When he did come on he was pedestrian at best so whatever our LB problems are he is not the answer !!

I reckon that Russell plays Manning when he expects us to be on the front foot as he is generally pretty good going forward! In tighter games (WBA being one) he prefers to select someone with better defensive qualities (Stephens or Bree) ! if this is true then it kinda makes sense…

I came on here this morning expecting the post match analysis to be all about the sensational performance for two thirds of the game only to read a lot of negativity about poor substitutions and how atrocious our captain was 😵 (clearly not everybody but quite a few!). Someone said that the second half was a 'disaster' even although we actually kept a clean sheet! I guess that I should not really be surprised as many of those posters actually wanted the manager gone after the first 8 games of the season! Whilst I realise that it's a forum and all about opinions it does seem that it's almost impossible for some to enjoy the good moments without introducing caveats all the time... True, our performance level dropped towards the end of yesterday's match but the management team will reflect on that, no doubt see lessons to be learnt and react in a calm and considered way which is exactly how it should be! For me, I'm enjoying watching Saints this season more than for ages and will leave the moaning to others.... COYS 😇

This would be a major issue as it includes all ferry passengers (mainly IoW but also Hythe) plus all of those who park on that side of the ground. I'm guessing that we are looking at hundreds of home supporters who would be highly inconvenienced. Relocating the buses will also be a problem IMO. I hope that the club consider this carefully before introducing the changes !

I doubt very much that he will return to Newcastle as he would struggle to get into their injury hit squad right now and they are bound to strengthen come the summer window ! Also Eddie Howe has never been a fan of his, just inherited him when he went to Newcastle after a falling out at Bournemouth ! I'll be surprised if we don't do a deal for next season !
