  1. He's a national treasure, alongside that bird that used to be an X factor judge, and Becks.
  2. Would we meet his £100k per week wage demand? I think not.
  3. Looks like we should just stick to calling people f u c k ing c u n t s then.
  4. My 10 yo just inherited my 4s when I got upgraded to a 5. Shocking really.
  5. You are clearly a youngster - I remember being outraged when it went from 75 pence to £1.50.
  6. The Bundesliga shows that there is a workable 'football business model' that offers much cheaper more accessible admission prices and therefore huge passionate, less plastic crowds. OK, so they can't afford the Ronaldos of this world but in my book that ain't a bad thing and it doesn't seem to harm Dortmund, or Munchen etc so much in the fabled holy grail of the Champions League.
  7. What we need is a healthy mix of grizzly older veterans from the 70s, 80s and early 90s who by now will be late 30s to 50+ (and earning good money for some serious designer clobber, watches, nice motors, and all the other trimmings) giving a fine example to the younger generation of lads, who themselves will take the culture and fashion on, modernise it and develop it into the future. Class isn't necessarily correlated with plasticity. Plasticity and general mongdom are both no respecters of class boundaries.
  8. Best post of 2012.

If so many have played so well and persist doing so, then we won't go down.
  10. Portsmouth?
  11. What about a drunken scrap in a pub, followed by getting away from the scene by drink-driving, for a full house of shock-horror?
  12. Disingenuous, specious argument to try to justify the booing. Guly was key to some of our less glamorous but vital away wins in the lower leagues - I remember in particular, his match turning performance away at the freezing Ricoh against Coventry...but most of the lemmings who boo him wouldn't have been there I guess.
  13. Come on Saints
  14. Record low post count for match day thread on the cards?
  15. It seems a long afternoon
  16. come on nick a draw
  17. weather the storm
  18. Why have we got Roy Keane in a jester's hat on ours?

  20. That poster looks like the cover of a David Icke book.

  22. There are seemingly no limits to the depths that Ferrari will plumb. The difference is, in contrast to previous eras, the FIA/Ecclestone do seem a bit less willing to turn a blind eye to their cheating machinations. Previously they seemed to indulge or even collude with Ferrari, and had the attitude that Ferrari is F1 and the sport 'needed' them to win. In reality, the Ferrari/Schumacher hegemony for all those years was one of the dullest periods in F1 history.
  23. Got to agree with this. Vettel seems a genuinely decent chap. In contrast to the charmless, scheming Schumacher, and the petulant, histrionic Alonso who couldn't hack being destroyed on track by Lewis at McClaren.
  24. Ferrari and Alcockso should **** off.
