  1. I think backtoback promotions are a poisoned chalice, in that it has bred a certain casual complacency, both in the team and the club as a whole.
  2. Looking grim. This sort of game is an imperative for a result. Ten to midnight for NA I am afraid.
  3. Yet with all this football, still our national team is crap.
  4. Punch bossed the game in the win at Carrow rd 2 seasons back.
  5. Winning football matches.
  6. Having been to the Emirates several times but not Saturday, I concur with the reports about the dreadful home atmosphere. The big 4 all seem to suffer this problem - they all have a very large corporate/Disney tourist portion at games. Emirates is even worse due to the architecture: mid stand corporate circle ringing the entire ground, disrupting the formation of big banks of real, coordinated, singing, fans. That and the demographic of their fan base (and any fan base now tbh) now is simply not like the seething, boiling hoards of shaven headed lads that filled the Archers cages in the 70s
  7. If we lose the next 2 it's is likely game over for Adkins, if not quite Saints. We would be well adrift with a shocking GD though.
  8. I think this sums it up nicely. Only disagree about the axe - it is already out the draw and sat, menacingly gleaming, behind Cortese's desk to remind Adkins of his impending fate should results not improve urgently.
  9. I m not sure that more organisation and drilling can plug the defensive gap until the Jan window. By then it may be too late. Well drilled donkeys just ain't racehorses.
  10. Who could do a better job, with those players, and is actually available to replace? Noone springs to mind.
  11. What is Norwich's beef with Leeds? Some of the third rivals have been made up to fill the space it would seem.
  12. "The Southampton lovely passing team.." Priceless. Can I get a subscription to the Zambia Daily Mail?
  13. I think it is ghastly. The shade of red looks dirty and dull on the players on the actual pitch. Makes us look like a tired old club like Villa for some reason. All replica kits look abominable on fans to be honest, but then perhaps I'm a scowling, designer clobber-clad ageing wannabee.
  14. He is very good.
  15. Perhaps they used it to 'resoil' Notarfkrap, might explain their ever declining performances as the cyanide slowly but surely surfaces?
  16. Where do they put the poisoned soil?
  17. Coach broke down bringing the Hull Saints Supporters Club down?
  18. This first month or so is quite aberrant in terms of fixtures, and even without that aspect, the season doesn't bed in until October. We have played some great stuff but been learning some salutary lessons so far. Defence is the key problem area still not adequately addressed. Worry if we are bottom or thereabouts Jan 1st 2013. Worry a lot more if we are bottom or thereabouts 19th May 2013.
  19. This. In recent decades we have been far too friendly and 'reasonable'.
  20. Evening classes should help.
  21. Yes, at least Pompey are Hants and support their dreadful local club, which takes some doing!
  22. Quite - this is the far more worrying issue here. It looked like a Mr. Byrite. And don't get me started on the tie. I am sure the Sky bosses will have a quiet word.
  23. Glad hear the ****s were dealt with one way or another.
  24. Disagree - visually it is utterly repellent, and a navigation nightmare. Content is all videos - virtually nothing to read, no analysis, whereas before it was a font of intelligent, in-depth background reporting articles and comment. They are just saving £ by cutting and pasting TV footage.
  25. Fulham look like relegation fodder to me.
