  4. Wigan leading Villa
  5. QPR, Reading and Wigan.
  6. The fate of Shaw in the next 9 months will be a litmus test of our progress and ambition as a club.
  7. Lets just hope the new bunch of mercenaries upsets the remaining old bunch of mercenaries, and the implosion continues apace.
  8. No - he's inherited a dysfunctional dressing room that is doomed and needs to go down, get scrapped and rebuilt again.
  9. Reading and QPR for the drop surely. Then it is between us and Wigan, I reckon.
  10. Where can large numbers of menfolk gather nowadays to celebrate their tribal allegiances and be hostile to another group, in order to let off steam and burn excess testosterone? This is an instinctive, basic bio-social need of males. Modern society is so emasculated, passive, risk-reduced and feminised that there are fewer and fewer opportunities for discharging collective and individual aggression safely. If that need is not met and sublimated in a relatively civilised theatre, it is certain to be forced out somewhere more damaging to society or individuals. It certainly ain't Premier League Football.
  11. This. Arse got a one today that was as soft as diahorrhea
  12. He's a national treasure, alongside that bird that used to be an X factor judge, and Becks.
  13. Would we meet his £100k per week wage demand? I think not.
  14. Looks like we should just stick to calling people f u c k ing c u n t s then.
  15. My 10 yo just inherited my 4s when I got upgraded to a 5. Shocking really.
  16. You are clearly a youngster - I remember being outraged when it went from 75 pence to £1.50.
  17. The Bundesliga shows that there is a workable 'football business model' that offers much cheaper more accessible admission prices and therefore huge passionate, less plastic crowds. OK, so they can't afford the Ronaldos of this world but in my book that ain't a bad thing and it doesn't seem to harm Dortmund, or Munchen etc so much in the fabled holy grail of the Champions League.
  18. What we need is a healthy mix of grizzly older veterans from the 70s, 80s and early 90s who by now will be late 30s to 50+ (and earning good money for some serious designer clobber, watches, nice motors, and all the other trimmings) giving a fine example to the younger generation of lads, who themselves will take the culture and fashion on, modernise it and develop it into the future. Class isn't necessarily correlated with plasticity. Plasticity and general mongdom are both no respecters of class boundaries.
  19. Best post of 2012.

    Shaw

If so many have played so well and persist doing so, then we won't go down.
  21. Portsmouth?
  22. What about a drunken scrap in a pub, followed by getting away from the scene by drink-driving, for a full house of shock-horror?
  23. Disingenuous, specious argument to try to justify the booing. Guly was key to some of our less glamorous but vital away wins in the lower leagues - I remember in particular, his match turning performance away at the freezing Ricoh against Coventry...but most of the lemmings who boo him wouldn't have been there I guess.
