To be fair you have no idea if it was the truth or not, but let's not take away from a thread aimed to discuss a charity. FF shouldn't have brought it up in the OP, and equally people shouldn't have responded to it.

Always liked Osman as the tannoy bloke. Never understood why people slated him so much.

People are saying these things like they weren't already happening, but they did bleep tests at regular points in pre-season as a basic indicator of fitness levels. If I remember correctly Harding and Connolly lasted the longest.

It's in the best interests of all those involved to keep it as quiet as possible. And even the tabloids won't run a rumour like that based off an internet forum.

Not just me, but Pardew and Wilkins have both preferred him as an option coming off the bench so far this season. I just don't understand the reasoning behind the signing when we already had the cover for LB/LM.

He has looked a decent enough player when i've seen him, but why on earth was he signed in the first place? It seems that Mills is preferred and, to be honest, I don't disagree with that. Money that could have been added to the offer for Antonio. Would have been better spent IMO.

Had an injury at the end of pre-season, looked much better today by all accounts and was mentioned more than any other player. Also has 2 goals to his name.
