If you do running commentaries on the match day threads like I used to you'll get there, and higher, in no time.

This is utter rubbish. There was 1, maybe 2 defenders who could even compete with him last season.
-
In short, "stop whinging, we know what we're doing".
-
We had a season review when Pearson kept us up - but they left out the defeats (and some of the best goals). That was the last one. Quite annoyed there wasn't one for last season.
-
I thought Morgan was fantastic tbh, he was absolutely everywhere running the midfield - one memorable moment was when he dodged tackles by three players, stumbled and then tried to head the ball away from another player - whilst it was on the floor.
-
Have to admit some of their passing was quite nice. The build up to the goal in particular. I also liked how direct they were when attacking, and got quite wound up that we didn't do that, favouring a slow, trotting along and then turning back approach.

Chainrai took over? They're not out of it.

Maybe so, but I think that if I allow people to contradict me without making my own case then it seems like i'm admitting i'm wrong.

FA Cup 1st Round Draw-Sunday- Shrewsbury at home

Happy with that. -
You may have found them entertaining, but it was extremely tedious for a lot of people from what I remember. Almost every thread for most of last season was taken over by people arguing and invalidating their points by using petty insults. And with regards to your main point, again I saw things differently. There was even a thread which reached a good number of pages asking the mods to look at the way the place is being run. As for the swear filter, I always use asterisks no matter what website i'm on, it's just habit now.
-
When compared to the amount of people signed up to this site, any collection of people would be in the minority. Not sure what you're trying to say though. You think this site is better for having threads decline into name calling? If people want a forum where they can call each other w*nkers and tell them to f*ck off, i'm sure there are plenty out there. This isn't one of them. It's possible to talk to someone who has a differing opinion without insulting them.

I'd hope that all corners of the ground booed him every time he touched the ball, but I seriously doubt it happened.
-
More lenience on the humorous posts and cutting out the pathetic little arguments? I certainly think so, given that it's what the majority of people have complained about the past few months.
-
I was using him as an example. I found some of his posts quite funny and I don't think he ever descended into the childish squabbling a lot of people on here seem to. My point was that the latter is what we're trying to stamp out, not the former.
-
Come on then, what happened this time? About 20 stewards and 5 coppers all went up...to bring two blokes down. Must have been more to it than meets the eye?
-
Humour is fine. No idea why Deppo was banned, you'd have to ask Baj or Steve, but I had no problem with him at all. It's not there now, but in the Puncheon thread there were a couple of unnecessary digs that I took out which weren't intended to be funny at all - they were just intended to insult. No need for it.
-
For me there's no doubt - centre midfield. He has the grit to get stuck in defensively and he's direct enough to attack from the centre. However, with the options we have he fits in best at LM.
-
Must be watching a different game to a lot of you lot. I thought Schneiderlin was fantastic, completely committed and ran the midfield. Chaplow was poor in the first half but very good in the second, and Guly came to life in the last half an hour - played like he did V Tranmere again.
-
I wonder if they were deliberately trying to wind Barnard up to get him to retaliate?
-
Couple this idea with the current discussion of Barnards temperament level and that could end up getting tasty
-
Hadn't even checked that thread yet - thanks for pointing it out. Can people try to use the report button even when it does seem a petty argument, as it is pretty impossible to keep track of every post on every thread.
-
Fair point, but as I said players all have different aspects to their game. John Terry being quiet, not getting stuck in etc. would not be right. But equally if Ryan Giggs was screaming his head off every 5 minutes I doubt he would be able to control games as he does.
-
I think we need to dump this relaxed attitude the team have got. There's a fine line between that and complacency.
-
As JonnyLove says, even the calmest of people around me today were going mental at the ref. No surprise that a player whose game relies quite heavily on his passion was getting quite annoyed.
-
I can't quite decide which was worse - his performance today or Peter Waltons V Leeds.
