  1. Not sure they could have done anything different, they were reacting in real time as were we. Sky news are worse...announced it as their top story and after a couple sentences moved onto the Wales highlights in a cheery voice.
  2. As soon as they panned in and saw how blank his eyes were they cut away. I hope to god I'm wrong, but he looked gone and there was a long, long time of them trying to resuscitate.
  3. Horrible. Utterly horrible.
  4. Indeed, the whole thing stinks.
  5. Bit of a weird thing to say when he's only 18 years old.
  6. Indeed, instead of saying it's "just" two weeks of Forster's wages you could look at it as an entire year's salary for half a dozen support staff.
  7. Hilarious. Not at all what I was getting at. The people who donated that huge sum of money have a right to know what it's being spent on. As people on here have pointed out repeatedly, there isn't just one all encompassing BLM organisation so who actually received that money and what have they spent it on? I'm not even really that fussed, just curious in this case.
  8. I'd argue it's better to have everyone united with some people taking effective action than to have everyone divided and just going round in circles.
  9. Indeed, I did read that. It appears for whatever reason they were unable to fundraise under the name "Black Lives Matter", and so registered officially as the group "Black Liberation Movement" to collect the £1.2million I mentioned before. All whilst still organising events and calling themselves Black Lives Matter, and then doing who knows what with all the money.
  10. Supersonic has sent me down a rabbit hole now. Anyone know where the £1.2million donated to the UKBLM Gofundme has been spent? https://uk.gofundme.com/f/ukblm-fund
  11. I just googled BLM UK and Black Liberation Movement UK. The first result both times was; https://blacklivesmatter.uk/official-statement
  12. You could also boo if you have arthritis in your knees and feel discriminated against.
  13. We could do the same thing in reverse. "Why are they kneeling, a symbol heavily linked with a marxist organisation?" "They're doing it as an anti-racism gesture, not a political one" "The anti-racism argument is nonsense, come up with a better defence of the political symbol than that". Difference is, you're completely dismissing the reason given behind the booing. People who are booing aren't dismissing the REASON behind the kneeling, they're saying there are more appropriate ways to go about it.
  14. You've been told time and time again what the booing is aimed at, as has everyone questioning why it's happening, but still it's just attributed to racism.
  15. Apparently he'll just leave a laughing reaction and move on, as it's easier to pretend your post is a joke to him than actually take things that challenge his opinion seriously.
  16. Fair enough, you ignore it all you want but I'm not going to show support for the symbol which could then be misconstrued as support for the political aims of the BLM movement.
  17. Love the quote from Ian Wright the other night - "The people who are booing don't want to know what the kneeling is about"... Then there's this guy, supporting the kneeling but not wanting to know what the booing is about. The hypocrisy is incredible.
  18. Honestly, stop with the gammon nonsense, the name calling is just embarrassing. It suggests a complete lack of being able to rationally and calmly discuss something when you resort to throwing a "hilarious" insulting name at people every other sentence.
  19. They're kneeling as a symbol against racism. They're booing because that symbol has significantly negative connotations with other things besides anti-racism. I've said all along, the players should line up together before every game, teams mixing and matching, behind a banner with Kick it Out and a slogan along the lines of "We stand together against racism" or some such. It would have unanimous support in the grounds, on here, everywhere, with not even a hint of booing. Funnily enough they'll never change from the kneeling now because it fits the narrative too much to take the booing as a false example of how racism is still a huge issue.
  20. What, when, who? Haven't even heard a sniff of a rumour about this guy (admit I haven't been keeping a close eye on the transfer thread) is it really close to happening?
  21. Hard to believe that's real, actually embarrassing they posted that. Balls in the air and he screams at a player to head it, wow what a legend 😂
  22. Of the four right backs named in the squad only one was used at right back in these two games and he got injured and withdrew.
  23. One of my most vivid Jordan Henderson memories is of him trying and failing to do keep ups all the way to take a penalty in the shootout Vs Columbia before missing. Knobhead.
  24. Seriously? He clearly took out his back leg.
  25. 100%. They just said on the ITV coverage of the England game that those who boo "don't want to understand what it's about". Ironic given that the people booing have all said it's not about racism but are constantly called racists anyway. Sounds like it's the ones who support taking the knee that don't want to understand.
