  1. Really? His style of play would suit Barca down to the ground. I think that would go out of the window when he's actually offered the most prestigious job in world football.
  2. Possibly thinking they just need someone to come in and pick the obvious first 11 then sit back? Pochettino the obvious appointment.
  3. No thanks, struggling to hold down a place in a 15th place championship team.
  4. Flashbacks to Brazil V Germany here. Barring a miracle, Barca manager will go tomorrow.
  5. The decision not to continue with all games on TV continues to be utterly bizarre. They should have used this as an opportunity to trial "TV season tickets", paying for streaming access to all your teams games.
  6. Wrong, I was going to say wives.
  7. ...out of your mouth? Almost like we finish each others...
  8. For me it's more a case of not wanting to desperately sign someone on a shoestring and be lumbered with another player who is just ok.
  9. Surely it doesn't matter what we actually call our "reserves" side, whether it's under 23s or B team, if they're playing in the PL2 then they're still governed by the same rules on the amount of overage players you can use and therefore nothing will actually change one regards to how many players we can actually have?
  10. Well fuck me, we're stupider than I thought.
  11. Either way, it will still be cheaper than us keeping them on our books. No idea what you're talking about. Do you have an issue with the very nature of transfers or something? Hence the reduced prices, the money clubs saved can go towards wages. Quite honestly when it comes to Lemina, Hoedt, Forster, Elyounoussi, Boufal and Carrillo I wouldn't care if we gave them away for free. They are only going to cost us money and give us nothing in return.
  12. I'd be surprised if the club allowed players to go sbroad.
  13. Founded in 2009. Mental.
  14. Hence why I gave a low end estimate. Whatever it is, it'll be more than enough to bring in the 3 players we'd need to be in a really good position going into next season.
  15. Agreed. Cut price sale on our deadwood; Lemina £10million Boufal £5million Forster £5million Carrillo £3million (he really is that bad, might even struggle to get that) Elyounoussi £5million Hoedt £3million Gunn £5million Reed £10million £46million brought in and anywhere between £350,000-450,000 a week saved in wages. We wouldn't miss them at all so they wouldn't need replacing (besides Gunn) and it would allow us to sign a Hojberg replacement and a new goalkeeper. You can even chuck Vestergard in there and suddenly you've got over £60million to spend on a keeper, centreback and midfielder.
  16. The Reed situation could be a good warning of what will happen to Jankewitz if we sign another player now.
  17. Is it not? Surely the person or people booing is taking just as much of a stand for what they believe as the person kneeling.
  18. Went down for me about 2 hours ago and been slow since coming back.
  19. I think JWP has proven beyond doubt he can play as CM.
  20. I think it's ironic he describes it as disgusting that they booed him for taking a stand for what he believes in...isn't that what they're doing as well? It takes much more guts to speak out against the mainstream than to just go with it as well.
  21. We signed Fonte at 26 or 27 IIRC. At that age for a CB with good reading of the game you can still get up to 5 years out of them. Even just 4 years...£5million a season for a top centreback doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.
  22. Tricky situation. I'd be happy with Romeu and JWP with Reed rotating in when one needs a rest (does JWP rest?), But only if Reed will sign a new contract...but he'll only do that for a guaranteed first team place as it seems he's got at least 3 Prem teams offering him a starting place in midfield. So we may well be better off taking the £8-10million for Reed, trying to sell off at least one of Boufal, Lemina, Hoedt, Forster or Carrillo and using the £15million-ish to sign a young midfielder to understudy for this season looking to step in for Romeu next season. I'm more fussed about finding someone strong in the tackle and with good reading of the game to intercept than someone who will get forward and score/create goals. We have two wide players, two strikers and JWP for creating goals.
  23. My sources tell me this was confirmed in the last few minutes.
  24. Spurs fan on another forum reckons he'll be their sole defensive midfielder allowing them to play two attacking midfielders with freedom 🤔 Anyone else thinking there could be some shambolic displays in Spurs midfield next season?

That is worrying, really hope he's ok.
