I think you mean this is infinitely better than the first half when we were boring.

Said it before and i'll say it again, no point whatsoever playing Gabbiadini in this system. If you're not putting him through on goal or giving him the ball in the box facing goal, he gives nothing to the team. Austin should have started tonight - much better link up play, holds it up, can win it in the air and can finish.

Longs best form for us was playing in a pair up top when we went 3 at the back last season. He was never as effective out wide.

Yeah start of the season we were playing some great one touch passing football through the centre of the pitch and creating numerous chances we couldn't take. After Van Dijks injury and Stephens' nervous start, we reverted to two DM to help him out - however with him looking more competent now maybe we should try to revert to our original style of play.

I don't think any manager would have done anything else other than take us backwards after finishing 6th.

When we're performing as we have been the last few games we're much better off starting Long or Austin up front. In 5 minutes after coming on Long had already won 3 long balls with his head and held it up for other players. Personally i'd like to see them both up top, Gabby with one of Long or Austin.
