Yeah, I find it hard to believe that he was ringing and messaging her non-stop the day after a p*ss up, 1. He would have been hanging out his arse and 2. He would have realised what a munter she was and what a lucky escape he'd had.
That is mental. Him and Tadic moved to this country in the same summer - as pointed out above, in that time Tadic has the fourth highest amount of assists. What has Markovic done since then?
Schneiderlin didn't leave under a cloud and nothing about Lovren came from Saints.
Lallana acted like a c*nt, Fonte got greedy and Koeman was just a case of us not wanting to go into the last year of his contract without him committing for longer.
Cheers.
I hope for once everything goes our way. Imagine a summer where we keep Van Dijk and Liverpool get a transfer ban thanks to us. I don't think i'd ever stop laughing.
I'd take £25million or more and reinvest it elsewhere, I think McQueen is good enough and Targett is able backup.
(Not as good as Bertrand, but not such a downgrade that we'd miss him - and if that money helps us keep Van Dijk then crack on).
The only player we've complained about before was someone who wasn't even ours. That was due to a breach of contract and nothing came of it because we dropped it ourselves and just tried to match Spurs bid at the eleventh hour.
I don't see how anyone can say we're trying to save face when what's coming from our end is that we're more determined than ever to keep him...if we go back on that now we look right mugs.
If this mirror article is correct then there should be nowhere to hide for Liverpool. The authorities need to show some backbone here, although as it's "only" at our expense it wouldn't surprise me if it goes largely ignored. Imagine if this was a United player being tapped up by Liverpool...
There are three clubs in the world who are not "selling clubs". Bayern, Barca, Real.
Everyone else can be poached - watch Hazard go to Real this summer.
Lets hope we sell him for £60million and he has a recurring injury for the entirety of his contract.
I can understand a player wanting to go to Liverpool - Van Dijk is good enough to improve them in such a way they will challenge for the title, and it would mean more doing it with Liverpool after so long than with City or Chelsea. Annoying, but understandable.
However he deserves a shot at a Barca/Real/Bayern starting place and if he costs himself that well...no sympathy.
I wouldn't be over the moon with the appointment but i'd recognise he'll probably do well. However I wouldn't go regularly if he was manager...results with boring style isn't worth the money, I can still enjoy the result at home.
Arsenal are saying he's still under contract and like everyone else has said, youth team shirts don't have the sponsors on.
