Alex Chamberlain available in the summer?
Saint_clark replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Would be an excellent signing and should be the goal scoring midfielder we've wanted. I know he doesnt score all that regularly now but as you say, in the Davis role instead of playing deeper or shunted out wide he'd be fantastic, he has a great work ethic and we have seen him score quality goals anyway. If the club really do see Juanmi as Manes ready made replacement then we can definitely afford him as well once Mane goes. -
It's not. I better go lie down from all the effort it took to say that.

And you think that those 6 were the only ones defending themselves? There were others, but these have most likely been picked out because of their previous connections. I'd also be interested to know how you would defend yourself without using violence.

It's not one person though is it, it's every single person who was there. Erm...guessing you didn't go. Every Dutch person i encountered over there spoke excellent English. A lot of places are taught it as a second language from an early age. When we played them at St Marys, weren't they chanting "you're sh*t and you know you are" or some such...?

Absolute joke tbh, I was there and that echo article doesn't match what went on at all. Apart from being factually incorrect and completely misleading, I find it annoying that they try to make out that somehow spoiled the entire thing...it didn't in the slightest. Entire trip remains probably my favourite memory as a Saints fan.

If you check their forum one poster suggests the high agent fees is sign of wrongdoing from the board, to which others reply that other clubs are more suspicious because they're "keeping the figures off the books". No, they just haven't paid that much to agents...it's league 2, i'd imagine a lot of players represent themselves.

I like that they're scraping so much they're discussing how they'd be in a stronger position if it was 1980 and you got 2 points for a win. Sent from my M812H2 using Tapatalk

Cedric in the top 10 best tacklers in the PL (so far)
Saint_clark replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Yep, not a chance. -
Wow, it really has fallen apart...weren't they clear at the top earlier in the season?

Because no-one will be at any club forever?

When will we know for sure? Second leg is next week is it?

Poch wouldn't leave Spurs for Chelsea or Man U
Saint_clark replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
Spurs are perfectly capable of winning the league with the calibre of players they have/can attract. I'd be stunned if Pochettino left personally, leave for United and win the league all you're doing is restoring normalcy, win it with Spurs and it's a big, big thing. -
This is a very good point actually. I wouldn't be against making the League Cup football league only...however, if you give a Champions League spot to the winners you pretty much guarantee you'll never see anyone outside the top 6 win it again.

Post-Match Reaction: Swansea City 0-1 SAINTS

Nah he definitely shot, even held his hand up to Long in apology whilst Long went nuts at him. Shhh you'll give Pochettino ideas! -

Tough one, I'd say Aldeweireld has proven himself to be the best in the Prem and probably one of the best in the world. However Van Dijk has another two years on him. I'd probably stick. -

Playing devils advocate, in the last two games Austin has had Shane Long in a fantastic position but has shot from a stupid angle with a player in the way - not a fan of that. Possible reason he's being left on the bench for now? -
The disallowed goal today reminds me of when we played Reading away. We had a corner and as the ball came in their keeper came flying towards a crowd of people and the ref put his whistle to his lips pre-emptively, blowing up as soon as the keeper went down - after colliding with ANOTHER READING PLAYER. I'll never get over that.

James Ward-Prowse's list of indisputable, unimprovable weaknesses
Saint_clark replied to ScepticalStan's topic in The Saints
He has looked so much better the last month or two, a much more influential and accomplished player. This is the level of contribution we anticipated he would reach when he first broke onto the scene. Long may it continue. -
Clasie booked for something ayew did 5 minutes ago with no repercussions ffs
