  1. This is a good point. I can't see us bringing in another attacking midfielder, unless they're exceptional, as we won't want to block the youth players. Isgrove is highly rated by the management so I'm happy to have him in the team if injuries get that bad.
  2. We don't really play with wide men anymore.
  3. I think you need to get a life. Seriously.

Ignoring Glasgow, has anyone actually said he wouldn't make it here?

This old line is ridiculous as well, and not only that it's incredibly insulting to the likes of Lallana, Ward-Prowse, Lambert and Schneiderlin to essentially say they aren't good enough to play with Osvaldo. One of the things I assume you're referring to was the cut back from the right hand side which went to no-one - that wasn't due to him being ahead of everyone else, that was due to him not paying attention and trying to pass to the sodding referee! There was another opportunity in the box where Davis read the play excellently, made an overlapping run and then Osvaldo played the ball straight at him rather than ahead of him, meaning Davis had to lay it off to Shaw where he could of got a shot off with a better pass. I am ecstatic with the result yesterday, and I have been a big fan of Osvaldo, AND I think he will be very good for us. None of that detracts from the fact however that yesterday his performance was below par. Not going mental about it, not demanding he be dropped, not saying he's a waste of money. He just had a bad game.
  7. Yeah, the copper next to me at the back certainly perked up when that chant went up.
  8. I was at the game and he was not with it at all, i think he was a bit tired from his international exertions.

I'm not turning on him at all, just saying he was poor yesterday. He was the lone striker and as such the focal point of the team, but more often than not our attacking play fizzled out when it reached him. Only glasgow has written him off and we all know he doesn't actually have an opinion on anything, so why the abuse from you?

    Why not Swansea at home?
  11. Haven't watched those yet, but the Sky highlights bizarrely cut the Clyne shot that De Gea saved near the end.
  12. What's wrong with that exactly? Rodriguez was ineffective today (I can't actually remember him doing anything of note all game long) and has been like that 90% of the time he's played as one of the 3 behind the striker. Ward-Prowse came on and was an immediate threat with his crossing. When playing up front he has looked brilliant, linking up well, winning headers for knock downs and causing huge problems for defences.
  13. Ward-Prowse, then we have the specialised set piece taker as well.
  14. Then don't play Rodriguez, he doesn't get involved. He's being wasted as we're currently using him.
  15. Dropping Lambert was a mistake. Rodriguez obviously picked for his performance V Swansea - but FFS, he played well because he was playing as a striker! We need to accept the fact that he just isn't going to be consistently effective playing anywhere other than up front. What I don't understand is that we play 4-4-2 with Lambert and Osvaldo playing, but switch to one up top when Rodriguez replaces one of them? It needs to be 2 from those 3 playing up front from now on.

Not at all. Judging him by his effectiveness on the pitch, which just wasn't good enough. With the opportunities he had - the one on one, messing up the lay off to Davis, dawdling on the ball in United box - we could have actually won today. That's what's so frustrating.

First half highlights were flattering to be honest. And yes, he was worse in the second. Hopefully just an off day.

He seems to give up far too easy watching the highlights back, closes down the keeper only begrudgingly. Hopefully it was just tiredness from his Italy performances - but he really was awful today. Don't buy into the whole "his runs are too intelligent for our players"...and how the hell can anyone be trying TOO hard?

Sorry, but i'm just leaving the ground and he was abysmal today. Nothing to do with lack of service because he did get it. I'm a big fan but he should have been taken off instead of Rodriguez as he was having a terrible game.
  20. It's easy to forget that beyond the money and the glory, footballers are often genuine people living the dream. Considering he is probably the national pride right now it's understandable that what happened in Nairobi has affected him.
  21. Has he played in all 4 divisions...?
  22. If you try buying tickets it actually says that it doesn't have a partnership with the club and as such cannot allow people to sell tickets on there.
  23. Could see around 100 Saints fans up there for this now, at best.
  24. Is there no demo this year, just the beta? Can I get a refund on my steam purchase before the game is released...?
  25. Sure you aren't just wanting to use his ticket whilst he's away?
