  1. Who? I genuinely cannot think of anyone. Unless Ashley Cole is willing to take 65k a week on a 3 year deal.
  2. As far as I remember the short while I was receiving it the only criteria to continue getting it was that I had to apply for a certain number of jobs. I don't think you HAVE to accept the first job you get offered.
  3. There's no statutory breaks for a shift under 6 hours. Soul destroying? Degrading? I was on JSA for just under a month in between my last job and my current one, I didn't find it embarrassing - I was entitled to it and I knew I was actually going to be getting back into work as soon as possible. The telling moment for me was when I when in for the last time to tell them I had just taken a job, and the woman was shocked I'd found one so quick.
  4. Just because he started the thread doesn't mean it was him that stuck it.
  5. Yeah, he talks about Ward-prowse signing a new 5 year deal and says that's what he wants to do, so i'd wager there's a contract already agreed for his 18th birthday.
  6. I love how you put this in the Motoring forum hoping for some serious debate on the subject
  7. Are Villa fans retarded? Singing "I've got a shed"...it's a 23k seater ffs. And singing their sh*tty empty seats song because Bradford left a block empty (as they always do) for a flag dedicated to those who died in the fire. Morons. Really hope it's Bradford in the final.
  8. You don't honestly believe that do you? I'm not talking 12 hour days, just 2 or 3 hours a day would do. Plenty of time to look for work...especially considering the job centre do a lot of the work for you as long as you're actually WILLING to take a job, rather than waiting for the "perfect" job to come along.
  9. I've often wondered why those who are on job seekers aren't given some sort of community service jobs to do. Plenty of graffiti to scrub off, litter to pick up or gardens to tend to.
  10. I saw a few quotes on this thread from Italian journalists or some such saying that the deal was as good as done.
  11. Adkins said there was a meeting to identify targets a few weeks back. As for tapping up players...I hope our club never goes down that route.
  12. Maybe, but this was about 3 or 4 days ago now I think. They were probably just getting ahead of themselves - doubt we've even agreed upon a fee with his club.
  13. I honestly didn't think we played that bad against Chelsea until they properly got up and running. It was just a case of them being too good for us, some of the football was unreal.
  14. £4million would be outstanding.
  15. Hardly on here anymore so I don't keep track of things like this. Last I heard the Italian press were saying he'd signed a contract with us.
  16. I've often wondered if getting to the Prem a few years earlier than expected meant the money budgeted for promotion-building has boosted our coffers now.
  17. I thought this was meant to be a done deal, what's the hold up?
  18. Sat in the Itchen North for the first time in years as I was moved from the Northam (no idea why by the way, our seats were left empty and unimpeded by netting!) and it was f*cking abysmal. Knew it was going to be appalling as soon as the whistle went for kick-off and everyone sat down. Tried to get an atmosphere going for 20 minutes but gave up after that, nobody wanted to join in. Won't be sitting there again.
  19. Well on the basis of the last couple of games Yoshida is undroppable.
  20. Is this guy really that good? Never heard of him until this thread.
  21. So the Italian press are talking like it's already a done deal? Didn't they get ahead of themselves with Ramirez as well, or was that only held up because of the whole third party payments thing?
  22. Gotta be the itchen for the WAGs, surely.
  23. I never said they would, but it might shut up some of the mugs on here (at last).
  24. To spend money we were assured that we didn't have.
  25. No he didn't.
