  1. Christ, life really does throw up some weird situations doesn't it. 55 is no age these days really. RIP.
  2. Shaw I imagine. Wouldn't be surprised to see him back.
  3. Oh, f*ck off! He's meant to be this great man motivator, and he couldn't turn things around with over half the season AND a january transfer window? He's f*cking clueless.
  4. I really hope Yoshida isn't moved out there again, he never looked comfortable. I think it'll be Clyne left back and Cork right back. Davis dropping back in midfield.
  5. Fair enough, but point still stands.
  6. He could be. He is not, right now, in the same class as Aguero, Van Persie, Villa, Falcao.
  7. Paul Lambert has said Benteke is world class...jesus christ.
  8. Nicked our 'taking the ****' chant there.
  9. Sorry, such as who exactly?
  10. Why is it that only bad results are called reality checks? Why aren't the City, Chelsea or Liverpool games the true measure of reality?
  11. Should always be Lambert for me. Lallana gave an interview recently where he said he still looks up to him and Davis...and he just never sounds very authoritative when you hear him speak. In a few years, sure, but right now Lallana isn't ready to be captain.
  12. Why not? Walcott has scored a hattrick at international level, played in the champions league etc. Chamberlain I admit hasn't achieved as much, and I'm still fairly surprised he was loaned back to us for the NPC season, but he wouldn't have played for England had he stayed.
  13. Guaranteed or our money back?
  14. Where do they source that from? Can't find an updated one anywhere.
  15. Only just saw that article...he can't be for real? Wasn't he at our wins over Man City, Liverpool AND Chelsea? Was he just ignoring our players!?
  16. Yep, he's business oriented. Which is why he won't give up on a £12million investment after less than one f*cking year.
  17. Espanyol and Dortmund in the Liebherr cup. Since Cortese has come in we've normally had 2 home games as well, one against a foreign team and one against an English team. Not sure if playing an English team at home is really necessary this season - any team that would be a good enough draw, we'll be playing next season anyway.
  18. No reason for it, save it for when we get into the Champions League with a 95th minute Lambert penalty last game next season.
  19. Because talented players never have bad games.
  20. True. And I guess even if these players are only league 1/NPC quality, we'll be able to sell them for anything up to a million.
  21. In Germany, players are considered young up until 23. Years back in England, you rarely got a chance in the first team till you were 20-21. It's only in the last 10 years that we've felt a need to rush players through. Hopefully this will work out well for us...but I can't honestly remember a player who was let go from an academy at 16-17, who then went on to be a star in the Prem. Having said that Lallana didn't really start to show his true potential till he was 19-20.
  22. Greatest Day by Take That always reminds me of Markus Liebherr.
  23. Surely with the amount of work and money poured into it so far, someone will pick it up and finish it?
  24. It'd be quite a strange sight with them all knowing they'd probably be down the next day though!
