  1. "Going long almost seems to be the final option" - as it should be, IMO.
  2. Could make the same comment about any of our players apart from Davis and Fonte in all honesty. Very flat. Free-kick to Cardiff, dangerous position.
  3. So you agree it's not Kelvins fault then? I'm confused.
  4. 20 minutes gone, time to go one up.
  5. It doesn't take a brilliant first touch to control a pass coming straight at you along the ground.
  6. The only times i've seen one of these short passes go tits up is when the defender or midfield has dawdled after receiving the ball, or even gone back to the keeper. Not Kelvins fault at all.
  7. Desperate defending from Saints there, but held fast.
  8. You're talking like this is him doing it all of his own accord - your real beef is with Adkins and Crosby, they're the ones who really decide how we play.
  9. Those are factors other than finance though
  10. I suppose it's the fact that for once (financially) we could of actually held onto one of our wonderkids.
  11. Do you make that comment when he plays a short ball and it leads to a chance for us?
  12. It depresses me more seeing Chamberlain performing for Arsenal than it ever did watching Theo or Bale...
  13. Chamberlain scores for Arsenal.
  14. Cardiff had to wait 4 minutes for their first touch
  15. Kick-off any second now; http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?32872-Saints-V-Cardiff-First-Half-Thread
  16. And then went absolutely beserk when Bent equalised in the last minute.
  17. No-one said it would be weak, just weaker than their first choice.
  18. Saints: Davis, Richardson, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox, Guly, Schneiderlin, Cork, Lallana, Connolly, Lambert. Subs: Bialkowski, A. Martin, Hammond, Chaplow, De Ridder. Cardiff: Marshall, McNaughton, Kiss, Hudson, Gerrard, Whittingham, Cowie, Mason, Blake, Gunnarsson, Miller. Subs: Parish, Keinan, Quinn, Taiwo, Turner.
  19. Proper shocked that Hammonds been dropped.
  20. Not at all. The first tactic used by the police when the riots started were to stand in a line behind shields and back away slowly when people didn't actually disperse. Whereas at football, they're more than happy to get stuck in. It's like you're a lower class of citizen for the period of time you attend a football match.
  21. Should be very interesting. Might look at heading over and writing it up on here. Particularly i'd like to ask questions with regards the policing at the Pompey game, and why I see batons being used freely in most clips of football violence whilst it took full-scale riots to break out in London before they were even considered.
  22. This is such simplistic thinking. Who would have thought 12 months ago that Dean Hammond would be performing the way he is in the NPC now? Fonte definitely has the potential to be a decent Prem CB, so we should give him that chance should we get there.
  23. In fairness last season was probably a piece of p*ss for him, so he's taking a bit of time to adjust to actually playing against good strikers again.
  24. Dare I make a comparison to Tim Cahill in that respect?
  25. I may be wrong, but I thought that they started selling tickets for the next game after each game passes. E.G, if they sell tickets for the next 5 games then after the game V Watford tickets will be on sale up to the Hull City game. I may have completely imagined this though... You could always give the ticket office a bell; 0845 6889288
